Yes!

The song I'm composing and on which I've been working since 3 months ago (although I've only worked about 1-2 weeks on it if I don't count the huuuuugggeeee breaks) is coming along really nicely, really great actually.

I just have to polish the bridge a bit, add some electric guitar in the part where the solo voice first comes in, then adapt the rest of the theme for the voice and do small changes to the chorus so that it's not always the same, and I'm DONE!!!
I really LOVE what I managed to achieve with that, especially since it's my first try at a song that's not classical music (it's a combination between symphonic and heavy metal, with classical elements everywhere, only hidden well enough IMHO in a different format song).
It's probably going to be about 8-9 minutes long depending on how much inspiration I get on the lyrics.
Now, to actually record the thing.... that's a different story. Paying a whole orchestra, even for just 2 minutes, is not an easy thing to do. Of course I have the computer generated thing but that's completely useless without an actual orchestra and choir for the introduction and ending. But still, I don't care. If I make something like 7 more songs like that (only probably shorter), I can start looking for people to play this with and for sponsors.
I'd actually really, really like to show the computer generated thing off here or on the Internet in general, but after what happened to one of my best friends after showing an incomplete song, I'm probably not going to take the risk (basically, a famous band around here ripped it off completely, without even bothering to change the key or something, and won hundreds of thousands of euros with it without him having much proof that they ripped it off, considering what he did wasn't finished or published and was anonymously posted on a forum).
But I'm really longing for a non musician's opinion on this, so I don't really know what to do... I'd love to show it to people but I'm kinda afraid right now. Of course, I could take some precautions, but I'm still not sure I'd be able to take any precaution even remotely infailable...
