So we have this running gag at the hospital. Whenever we get back from kicking the asses of violent/unruly patients in the psych ward, we throw our latex gloves on top of the metal grating that's suspended from the ceiling of the elevator (I guess it looked cool in the sixties). So eventually the entire ceiling of the elevator was just a mass of puke-beige latex.
And then I read a report my supervisor wrote noting that she cleaned it up and that she suspected it was just some psych patient going to or from the ward.
I found it funny the first time, anyways.

I love my new ward. There are quite a few boys and girls my age, which is awesome.
I also received the Cambridge diploma!
Ohhhh, and I found the rings I lost! That was a relief. I lost two rings a few days before I moved and I opened my suitcase today and saw them nestled into a corner and got all excited and stuff.
Today's actually just been a really good day all around.

San Francisco is great (the only US city I've truly liked). Having friends that think like you is really great. Having girls that admire you is really great. Staying up 4 nights in a row having fun is also really great. Blueballs is not great but that's for the rant thread, not for here.

My wife and I finally closed on a house today!
First-time buyer incentives contributed about $10,000 toward our down payment; we provided the remainder of the 20%, about $6100. Sellers covered our closing costs, and our interest rate is 5.25%. Not bad for a 30-year fixed mortgage. We made out pretty good, the way I see it.
