The unit render is slightly off-centre, I believe. But it does look very well.

Edit: also, why does it have such a small pennant? Maybe it could be enlarged. BM?

New placement of symbol looks great!

Yes, Takhisis, in an ideal world there would be a long, flowing, civ-colored banner. Given how notoriously difficult cloth animation is, and how long we've waited for a unit this well-done, I'm satisfied.

In the preview it looks like the arrow drops off quickly rather than flying straight.

I'll have to make sure that there's not too long a wait for the conch sound file. The animation is great, but without the sound it may look they're having a victory drink. :D

Stico, have you contacted anyone (such as Vuldacon) who may be able to help with the palette problems?

And indeed, right now without proper sound victory animation looks like they having nice shot :)
Which isn't bad, considering the Epic importance of Soma. : p

Glad you're finding solutions to the hardest problem for all of us - palettes.

I'm liking it very much.

Another update, I think Ratha chariot is done. Now I have to create FLC's.

Be sure to send me the render so I can do the pcx for you.

:Coffee:

Thanks Guys:) BM in attachment you can find two images for pcx's.
DL'd. I'll take a look to make sure it came through alright.

Unfortunately I cannot find solution any bluish shade and create proper palette. I decided to leave it before I became really angry :) Palette is not my thing really.
Hey - white ratha is enough, if you can do it. That way there is an appropriate King unit for Indian civs. Some people have found ways to use the GL/King flags with special/UUs. As in Keroro's Alexander scenario, for example.

In this thread Steph, et al discuss the blue vd. red civ color for the unit32 file. Does anyone remember the exact answer? The Ratha render has a lot of both Blue & Red. Which one is the civ color? If needed I can select and change the other color from the pedia file.

Stico, maybe that is the source of your palette problems?

EDIT: found the tutorial post from Vuldacon in that thread. Still need to know which color you used for the civ-color - red or blue?

Sorry but I have a headache from palette tutorials but what I can do if someone is willing to create flc's then I can send him storyboard with bluish man.
Sounds like the problem is the conflicting blues. If red was the civ color ... But then I don't know much about unit palettes. If no one volunteers can you still do the white ratha with normal men?

There is only one blue color on that unit and that's civ color.
OK. I'll change palette for unit32. No need to change your renders. The pedia file doesn't care.

Keep both men as they are now. Just want something this:

Sorry for the crude cut & paste. The color used on the symbol & trim is meant to be like what is on the parasol. Hopefully you understand. If changes on horse are too much trouble leave them as they are now.
