My F7 key doesn't work, meaning I can't check the Wonders screen. I don't feel like getting it fixed, as I have no use for that key, other than to scheck the Wonders screen. It occurred to me that I could reassign the key elsewhere - say, to the key that shows the palace. However, I've discovered that to reassign a key, you need to know the key command first. Unfortunately, F7 doesn't come with the command spelled out. Do any of you have the ability to look under the hood and see what the F7 command is, so I could reassign it and use it again?

Thanks a lot.

If your F7 key is faulty you really ought to get it fixed. I once found that a dodgy key on my desktop keyboard just needed the key cap removed and replaced properly. Something was not quite right underneath it, though it's too long ago to remember the details.

I think the only way you can reassign the key is by remapping the keyboard hardware interface. The Keyboard Prefs will only allow you to assign keys to Mac menu options, but I don't think the Civ3 menus are real Mac menus so it's not going to work, even if there was a menu command equivalent to F7.

Reassigning keys in the keyboard driver is possible, but needs some research. I suggest you Google for information. If you need help, PM me and I'll try to track down the info.
