History:​

In 1796, the White Lotus Society, a secret patriotic Han Chinese society, started a revolt in Guangzhou against the Manchu Qing Dynasty. Led by Li Hongzhi and Cao Qingxu, the rebel armies captured by 1800 all of Southern China. At the same time, in northern China, the Han Chinese revolted under a charismatic Han Chinese Qing General, Guo Jing. Guo Jing captured Beijing in July 1800 and pushed the Manchus back to Manchuria. He then declared Beijing capital of the new Xiang Dynasty and he declared himself Emperor. He took the Dynastic name "Dongfang Bubai" (Undefeated East). In 1802, the armies of the Xiang Dynasty invaded White Lotus held Southern China and by 1805, all of China had been unified under the Xiang Dynasty.

History: Unlike OTL, Napoleon did not destroy the Holy Roman Empire, but allowed them to exist as a puppet state after strong resistance from the member states. Still, this did not keep the rebel states from constantly rebelling against napoleonic rule. After the failed Napoleonic invasion of Russia, the HRE finally striked against the retreating forces of Napoleon. This gave the sense of actual unity and several laws were passed consolidating said unity. After the fall of Napoleon, a war between the unionists and the state-memberists on which the unionists won and kept the laws of the union, which consolidated the HRE as an unified state.

Ireland was freed, and part of Norway was conquered.

FIGHTING IN JINZHOU FOLLOWING ULTIMATUM. Jinzhou, Xiang Dynasty. Following the government's ultimatum, many separatists decided to go home. As the deadline of the ultimatum approached, Guo Tang was reported to have been assassinated during a "military" parade in the streets of Jinzhou by the former mayor of the city. While the brief conflict has done little to ease tensions between the Beijing government and separatists, the show of force has, for now, strengthened the hand of the ruling party.
