I agree with the above. Those of us who have no one to attack are screwed, as are those who don't feel like fighting. Maybe add it. Maybe. But nerf it heavily if you do.
I think perhaps slaves should grant + 2 GPT, if they are going to be given out so freely. Cities should remain gthe main source of income at this stage.
However, at this stage in the game, that is fairly critical. Besides, they really weren't supposed to be present in the first place, not without a tech or something.
3 GPT would be alright, if it wasn't retroactive and it came with a tech. Ronin knew the rules when he decided to build up his military, a new rule shouldn't be instituted that disadvantages others.
I agree that the slave tech is currently overpowered. And especially considering the rules state at this stage of the game only two additional cities can be built - something I've already maxed out (unless this too gets changed). So I propose that the city limit cap gets lifted, while the slave resources give +3 GPT for 2 turns. This way, the ruler can choose how his economy expands - peacefully or by the sword.
I also agree that the slave tech is overpowered. By all means nerf it to 3GPT.
But I disagree with removing it or like I stated before. There will be no incentive to conquer instead of to build and research. Surely all should be viable options.
Pinman... I see it as being fair, and a logical addition... (fair, because it is something that Ronin has been ordering in every set of orders he sent...)
