As far as walled Scandinavian cities go, maybe Eketorp on Öland (second biggest Swedish island) could inspire:

For reference: so is the pic I posted. The norse did like their circular fortifications. So if and when ye do a walled series, it should almost certainly be ring-like, if that is managable.

Here's the viking cities redone a bit. I've made the walls brown (but then had to make the roofs yellow to distinguish them) I've toned down one of the big buildings slightly and added some more longhouses:

Obviously missing is the walled version. I'm going to try and combine aspects of those nice wall pictures. And yes, that means the walls will <hopefully> turn out more or less circular.

redalert, Excellent. I hope you are looking at a grayer industrial era and a glassier modern area for those viking cities....

Also RedAlert your sig doesnt have links to your EuroMed cities or MedAsian cities etc.

RedAlert - it sounds like you have a pop-up blocker somewhere. Try holding down CTRL while clicking the uploads link. CTRL is usually the default key that bypasses pop-up blockers.

RedAlert, would you be interested in doing some evil cities for LOTM? We don't have anything that will work at this point.
BTW, I still haven't figured out what I want for those urban outposts, but I'll let you know when I decide.

He did do some mongol cities on my request some time ago.
