eh... if you are talking about why most of the muslim areas are a part of serbia its because of this;No, but it is an important factor. One could say that just because the Croatians and Serbians have a different religion and alphabet, doesn't mean they shouldn't be amalgamated into some sort of... greater southern Slavic state. But what the hell would we call it?
Just saying that by saying the Bosnian Muslims should be joined with Serbia, but the Croatians shouldn't is sort of contradictory.

as you can see serb and muslim areas are very mixed together. the middle of bosnia is mostly equally diverse, mainly seves as a link to the serb majority area further west. croatia gets its sahre of muslim areas. anyway, why is it serbian and muslim are so incompatible? is christianity required for citizenship?
Moldovan is considered a different language than Romanian in Moldova because they want to consider themselves a seperate ethnicity; the same with Macedonian and Bulgarian.
Hey, honestly, not all Moldovans consider they speak a different language, but those that do are "on my ignore list".In 2001, there was even a dictionary "Romanian - Moldovan". It's the funniest thing I've ever seen. ALL the words are just written twice!

That'll show those Peruvians!
(is there any reason certain countires are not colored?)
Bill3000 said:So in the end, it's not a matter of if it is incompatible or not. It has to do with the fact that the Bosnian muslims, an ethnic group called the Bosniaks, don't identify as Croatian or Serbian. And for the longest time and arguably still today, the major difference between the Croats and Serbs was religion as well - Catholic vs. Orthodox. The languages were considered until Yugoslavia's breakup, part of the same language (Croatio-Serbian) - and what is considered a language is ultimately directly related to ethnicity. Moldovan is considered a different language than Romanian in Moldova because they want to consider themselves a seperate ethnicity; the same with Macedonian and Bulgarian. The diversity of the chinese language is so large that the "language" as a whole may be more of a language family the size of the Romance language family, yet it is considered the same language because they all identify as the same ethnicity, the Han.
well, assuming the muslims would put up signifgant resistance, how about this map;
