Reinstall the lot with all patches ????

Gents,
please give a fast answer on this obvious question.
I know I can find all if I search hard enough but I'm lazy so PLEASE.

I have bought a new PC and thinking if I can only install the CDs,
Civ3, PTW and Conquest plus the last patch for Conquest 1.22

OR
do I have to install Civ3 patches and PTW, like 1.29 and so on.

Can I get along with just the last pacth 1.22

When you install PTW, it checks for the Vanilla Patch level. If the Patch level is not 1.29, it patches it to 1.29.

Likewise, when Conquests installs, it checks for the Vanilla & (If installed) PTW patch level. If it's not patched to 1.29 & 1.27 respectively, it will patch them to the latest patch level.

So no, you don't need to apply the patches. The XP will patch if necessary.

But yes, you do need to patch to 1.22, if you're not playing Complete. Complete should be fully patched.
