Anyone else seeing some pretty profound differences in diplomacy since release?

At first, you could count on an endeavor and a supported endeavor to each improve your relationship by a set amount. Now, that isn't true. And it does not seem to be as simple as unfriendly civs are affected less. For example, I was at neutral with both Xerxes and Rizal, but I got +10 and +5 respectively for an endeavor I offered and was supported, and for their endeavor I supported. Rizal I got +1 and +1.

The implication is that there is some other factor involved. But in any case, it's no longer a simple "I'm going to settle within 10 tiles of X's capital soon, but I can manage that with certainty by means of endeavors ahead of time."

Which reminds me. It seems to me that maps have gotten more sly, too. Amazing how often every good spot for a second and third settlement turns out to be exactly ten tiles from a rival. :)

Endeavours grant their relationship bonuses over time. Check back a few turns later?
