Results will take a while

I'm afraid that the results of the GOTM16 will be done somewhere next week. I'm quite busy lately, namely.

Also, I doubt that everyone reads the Site Feedback forum so I'll also say here that Duke of Marlbrough will be taking over this place. I've also been unavailable as moderator so I'm sorry if it has become a mess here. But feel free to use the "Report this post to a moderator"-thing, as long as you feel it's valid.

Are you saying you're leaving the Civ 2 GOTM Matrix? I usually read the site feedback, and have not noticed anything to that effect.

Perhaps we should just close the Civ 3 GOTM to allow you more time over here (joking!)...

PS, I've seen the picture of your desk & even the Civ 2 chart on your wall (in the OT photo thread)!! So you must still have Civ 2 on your mind .

Concerning the results, why don´t you just send them to DoM now, so that he can do them if you are so busy?!

Anyway, nice to hear from you again. The crowds at the Civ3 GOTM are also getting a little anxious.

Well, I've just finished the Civ3 results. That's a matter of waiting for TF. But tomorrow I'm gone till monday. And then still...

And yes starlifter, I'm leaving this GOTM. The poster is a matter of culture and respect and will keep it's place. But it's a long time since I've played a game of Civ2. I can't send everything to DoM because those are far too many emails. And he can't do it all as fast as I can and needs a training program, written by me. I will note my actions so that he knows how to do it all. Otherwise he'll be doing in five days what I do in one.

I'm glad that the Civ 2 Wall Chart (poster) will keep it's place of honor above your desk then ! I guess if you're not able to play Civ 2 anymore, then it's all for the best. We've really appreciated all you've done for the GOTM, particularly as it related to the Civ 2 GOTM last year.

This cycle of "training your replacement" is exactly what we do in the USAF so the next guy/gal also does not take 5 days to do a one day job . Glad you're taking the time to write it up and make it a smooth transition then!!

Are you also stepping down as the Moderator for Civ 2? I have not seen that specifically mentioned before, but presume you are. If so, I'll change all my references from "Matrix" ot "Duke of Marlbrough" in the "Unofficial Awards" rules.

PS, That spreadsheet you've evolved over the months is really killer now!

Naah... It's a disgraceful exit: because I lost interest.

But I do feel like I let go of my child that has grown up. I mean, the GOTM wasn't my idea originally, but I made it the way it is (with your help) and now it'll continue to exist without me administrating it.

But I'm sure it's all in good hands now.

Not too bad considering I had one of my worst starts ever. But 0.1 points i the GR . Now I have to really work hard again, but time, time, time... is a real problem.
