What would you have us do? submit the will of China and be dragged into a war that we left the alliance to avoid.
Think on it from our point of view, China does not dictate policy on us and had they ordered you in the fashion they ordered us you would have reacted in the same way.
Also they said if we did not obey they would declare war. We had absolutely no intention to obey, we are not a satellite state of China, therefore it goes to assume that a state of war existed between us.
We simply took the initiative. You would have done exactly the same thing.

Oh, so now you can leave an alliance because you son't want to fight their wars? News to me. Alliance were created so that *all* members would fight on behalf of one another.

Update 2100BC

World Events
In the Americas the Iroquois Confederacy launches a two pronged attack against the Aztec Empire, Aztec defense forces fight valiantly but are defeated time and again by the superior Iroquois army.

The Mayans halt their attacks against the Aztecs to face the Chimu in the south as a result their loose some lands and islands to the Aztec onslaught.

Omni Maya leads the Mayan attack on the Chimu. Due to their holy leader being with them the Mayan army is whipped into a frenzy which causes the Chimu army to flee in fear even though the Chimu numbered more than the Mayans, allowing them some gains.

The Carthaginians and Mali make peace and Hannibal leader of Carthage issues an apology to the Mali kingdom.

The Mali economy experiences a temporary boost due to a huge aid package arriving from Carthage as part of its apology to the nation.

Egypt breaks into the Iron Age.

Egypt completes its Med Sea "Wall". It is not really a wall but more of a line of Forts on the coast within sight of each other. The sheer cost of manning this impressive wonder places a strain on the Egyptian economy.

The Hun Republic declares that it is the most advanced nation in the world. Its medical sciences division discovers the cure to the Karthago Virus. As a result the Republics economy experiences a temporary upswing.

The SAC army meet the Combined forces of Carthage and the Mali Kingdom in the north of its nation. Although it can not defeat such a force it is able to slow their advance significantly.

The EC and Abyssinid armies advance against the SAC in the South and East.

Babylon sues for peace with the Persian and Pheonician nations, giving them huge tracks of Babylonian land, and massive amounts of gold in reparitions.

The Parsa-Pheoni Pact forces being freed up from their invasion of Babylon launch an attack on Cambodian forces in India from behind.

The Parsa-Pheoni Pact navy defeats the Cambodian naval blockade of India.

Cambodia breaks into the Iron Age.

The Cambodian army still reigns supreme in the sub continent. They make huge gains against the Republic of India.

Combined Viking/Chinese armies defeat the Japanese in the north and make some gains against the invaders.

Japan launches a sneak attack towards Beijing and places the capital of China in very real danger.

In the aftermath of the Cataclysm of Brisbane prophets of "The One God" begin preaching in Brisbane. Spreading the word of the one God throughout the nation, and performing miracles in the name of this God. The national Religion of Brisbane is now Judahism.

The leaders of the Religion of Judahism arrive at the palace of Brisbane and ordain the leader as King of all Brisbanites in the name of the God, and convert him to the faith. Confidence in the leader sky rockets. Brisbane is converted into the worlds first Feudalistic Monarchy.
