OOC: I was thinking on including the great wonders of the world but...well i cant remember most of them.
So if you want wonders included could someone compile a list for me?
 
Shall we see:
Great Wall (Vikings).
Great Libary (China).
Great Sea Wall (Egypt)
Great Lighthouse (Vikings building it right now).
This is all I remeber but I think Chimu has wonders.
 
OOC: Traits
Militaristic= Militaristic Cultures are nations entirely orientated around the ideals of war. In game terms this provides a +1 attack bonus, and a slightly cheaper army.
Expansionist= Expansionist cultures are explorers, innately curious about the world around them. Generally their greatest wish is to compile a complete world map. In game terms they provide a +1 defense bonus because they tend to have a good knowledge of most nations they have contact with, and are able to trade with NPC nations for less.
Industrious= Industrious nations are full of hands on working class peoples. They prefer building great structures rather than fighting. In game terms they have -1 defense, and they can only reach a prosperous economy. However this is made up by the fact that they can issue 3 orders instead of two, and infastructures are built much more quickly.
Commercial= Commercial civilisations are more interested in the accumulation of wealth. They have a higher percentage of upper class than other civilisations. Communist states can not be commercial. In game terms commercial civs earn more from trade routes, and they have a -1 to defense. However they can quickly raise an emergency mercenary army at the cost of one economy size level.
Religious= Religious civilsations are much more fanatical about their religion than other civs. They will not hesitate to go to war with anyone who attacks their beliefs in any way. In game terms NPCs will be friendly to religious civs of their own religion and wary of those who are religious of another religion, and a leader can call a Jihad in times of emergency against an aggressor.
Scientific= Scientific civilsations produce the worlds best teachers and scientists. They also tend to support the worlds strongest cultures. In game terms they recieve a bonus to education, and are more likely to break into a new age. However due to their innate curiousity about science, they tend to not like to fight, they incur -1 attack.

How does that sound?

OOC: I should also mention that you can change ur traits if you wish BUT such a change would take several turns, and can only be enacted with a government change.
Say for example Carthage is Scientific and Commercial, and it goes to war with Egypt. It can not simply decide that it is militaristic and expansionist because its gone to war.
Such a fundamental cultural change couldnt happen in real life like that so i wont allow it here.
I think 4 turns is ample time for such a change. So if your changing trait u need to change leader and government, and you need to tell me every turn for 4 turns u are changing trait.
So think on your cultural trait carefully.
 
Or wait a second I don't take that traits I take Militaristic Expansonist.
 
India declears it self Religious and Scientific

India hopes it allies will protect India in exchange for technolgy when the time comes. I ask the Trans-world alliance to send a detachment to India to help gaurd the borders. As you can see from my traits India shall not make war readliy.
 
Egypt declares itself commerical scientific.

lmsw, you would think industrius would be able to reach new hieghts in economy, not lesser ;) Anyways, the traits seem nice and balanced, much more so then any other nes. good job ;).

World Events
A comprehensive program of improvement and a lowering of national taxes finally takes its toll on the Mali economy. People are happy but the economy takes a hit.

The Mali Kingdom founds the cities of Casablanca and Kinshasa.

In an attempt to expand its empire the English invade the EC state of Gaul. Their army easily defeats the EC and reaches the gates of the newly founded EC city of Numidia.

Following the lead of the English the SAC attacks the EC Sud-Afrika colony, easily defeating the EC forces stationed there.

World enters the new age as India and Chimu scientists deliver the classical age technologies to their Governments.

Chimu Empire founds two new cities, Nacho and Ninchcaman.

EC founds two new cities, Numidia and Pretoria.

China and VikingLand begin the Second China war by invading Japans Western colonies in Kamachatka, and Manchuria. The Japanese are overwhelmed and defeated repeatedly, only their expansionist nature has aided them in holding the Vikings and Chinese forces back slightly.

India founds Zion.

VikingLand founds Oslo and Stockholm.

In China, peopla had no true calendar. They measured they year in six parts, being Snow-Time, Melting, Green-Month, Hot-Time, Fading, Harvest-Season.
Now it was the Harvest Season. This year the people had a great surplus. Some of it, they decided, would be sent to build the Iroquoisian Great Pyramids of Jesusople as a token of goodwill.
The war with the Japanese was going well. Vikingland had aided them from the very start. Now India had allowed them to freely march through their lands, and the Iroquois and Brisbanites would soon join their cause. The only possible problem was the Camboidans. THey would most likely intervene on the side of Japan. Ah, well. Not everything in life goes as expected.
ORDERS from China:
Leave the northern japanese lands to Vikingland. Send the whole army to invade mainland Japanese territories. The Riders will bo obsolete soon, so let them have a last chance at everlasting glory.
Increase Education and Science spending.
Send tokens of thanksfulness to Brisbane, India, Iroquois, and Vikingland.
