Reviving a woolly mammoth

Wrong. They are drowning because they have to swim further and further for food resources. Or at least thats the allegation.

They don't have as much food around because there's less pack ice around. Setting a bunch of woolly mammoths free in the arctic wouldn't do TOO much.

I was operating on the assumption that he did something to deserve it, in which case it is perfectly natural that he got himself killed.

I see. So if the murder of those who behave like extended-back-holes is natural, why is it forbidden in most countries?

What about resurrecting Neanderthals?

Not sure. It would be interesting, but what status would they have? Would they be entitled to human rights? If they do - are they going to be treated in any other way than a lesser race? Are they our responsibility to take care of in today's society? Could we do medical testing on them?

I don't think they will get a place in our society. Probably, they will be viewed as some kind of experiment or something. Human rights? Scientists don't even know if they could speak, so I doubt it. But again, they don't know.
But why not? It would be fun after all:lol:

They would definetely get human rights. I think they would have an average intelligence very close to our own.

we made them, we own them.

we made them, we own them.
That's what I was thinking, but you know the liberals will make a big fuzz about it. Think of the possibilities... a harem full of neanderthals...

^^ I suppose - if you like that sort of thing... (big and hairy that is...)

By the time we're technologically capable of cloning a Neanderthal, I'd imagine that they'd be protected with regards to rights.

Reviving Neanderthals would be like reviving a man from 50,000 BC, humans have changed since then and may not have the same abilities modern man does. I'm speaking out of my ass but it's something that came to mind.

Bring on the Woolly Mammoth though, and anything else that's cool and extinct. Screw Jurassic Park in that respect.

Don't you see the danger, John, inherent in what you're doing here? Genetic power is the most awesome force the planet's ever witnessed, yet you wield it like a kid that's found his dad's gun.

Maybe we can put them in Hollywood movies.
