Revolution IOT

i ahve no idea what NAP means. and i request an alliance with the WEU and Socialist Brazentia.

EDIT: ah, a non aggression pact. that's why i hate acronyms. too vague.

The WEU doesn't want to sign an alliance with non-socialist states and Soc. Brazentina are now vassals of Yugoslavia so they can't enter alliances like that.

well, alright then. Spain will just concentrate on its 'obsolete' mixed economy.

my point is, i dot care what economic type or what political type you are, besides Facsim. i expected the same in return.

OOC: On another note, since I'm a glutton for punishment, I'm thinking about running a second IOT. Updating shouldn't be a major problem given that my schedule is free open for a while into rehearsals start up and I can alternate updates. After all, the most time consuming parts of IOTRev when it comes to updating is Battle Results which add on about an hour (because I love the casualty thing) but even the casualty thing can be streamlined to be a year by year deal instead battle-by-battle if I felt crushed for time.

i can play an additional IOT since the Mathalamus Republic was just brutally wiped out 10 minutes ago.

It's based on LH's old Homefront IOT so instead of using only a world map, it's a map of mainly the United States. Canada and Mexico are there....but they're more like bulwarks to expansion than anything else. They keep the action in the former US. Meanwhile, the Triple Entente controls New England and the Pan-Asian Union controls the Pacific Coast while the remnants of the former USA make up the edges of these two empires. The expansion phrase of the game will be VERY short with most of the action revolving around economic warfare and, go figure, actual warfare.

Since the idea is that the US collapsed in 2012 due to a Market Crash, the economy is robust and responds to trade among the players. The game "ends" when the Pan-Asian Union and Triple Entente are forced out the map for good.

A quick check tells me that since starting claims are only 3 provinces, I can only have, at max, 30 players. I doubt I would reach that but let's just say the unclaimed isn't enough for everyone. :)

What happens if they kill the former US?

The former US is like the mid-game dungeon boss. To get at the Triple Entente/Pan-Asian Union, you have to go through the US somehow. Once you take down the western US, Asia gets involved....heavily. Same with the TE on the East Coast. The US is nigh-impossible to take down early on but in the mid-game, should give a similar-sized opponent a good fight. Late-game, they're pushovers.

However, the longer it takes for players to take out those three NPCs, the harder the AU and TE will be to take down later.

disturbingly like the Shattered Union, the game which has almost exactly the same premise.

How much are you relying on the players not to kill each other?

Yep. Except the TE are made up only of the EU3 (Germany, Great Britain, and France) while the Pan-Asian Union is made up of China, Japan, Indonesia, and Taiwan. The driving motivator is largely colonization.

Simplified combat. Fun economy (hopefully). Etc. will be in HF2.

Let's just say that because armies cost double to maintain during war and that reduces their profit each turn (which, by extension, lowers trade income), I'm not worried. Instead of a casus belli, the economy itself is punishment in and of itself for constant warmongering. Trade is HUGE in this.

When the economy takes a rough turn, the USA, PAU, and TE get restless and may decide to expand into border territories which isn't good for players, especially early on when the USA still has the capability to curbstomp several starter nations repeatedly because they simply have enough territories.

We offer the WEU an alliance (not sure if we already have one)

My idea about the NPCs
I agree with the Idea that they only produce 1
And my Idea is that when they are vassalized that 1 goes to the state that vassalized them

(and if you want you can kill all the non vassalized NPCs)

Spanish news

the idea that the Spanish Empire would reorganize itself into the Mathalamus Republic, widely known as the Ultimate form of Democracy was shot down (22 for, 78 against) at the senate for these reasons:

1. Israel will declare war on me for idolatry.
2. it can be classified as a stupid nation.
3. i am unsure of the reactions from the communists.

(OOC: the first two are untrue in my book, since no one thought it was stupid in all of 5 years, and its never meant to be an idolatry.)
