Wouldn't work because the American League of Prosperity fits better with the idea of "Trade". The American Federation is pretty much the United States without Middle America and the American League is pretty much "What if the Business Plot of 1933 succeeded" United States.

Spain did pretty good on the deal actually. Particularly when they turned around (eventually) and sold it right back to... The U.S.S.R. I expect. Since I seem have survived into the Cold War period, Id say my business strategy worked well!

OOC: Now that Portugal's NMRed, we might want to consider al least droppoing South America. We have too many provinces in relation to the amount of strong nations (We have only 5)...

Fighting erupts in the Mediterranean as the Egyptian Navy challenges Spain for control of the sea province. Off the Coast of Iberia, Maryland is blockading Spain. The third phase of the invasion plans continue. Maryland attacks without a declaration of war and lands troops on Gibraltar less than two days after the atomic bombings while Egyptians begin landing troops in Italy.

the Emperor (apparently in Barcelona) has stated that the situation was hopeless. Maryland and Egypt has both attacked Spain, and practically ended Spanish power. millions are dead, our once strong army was reduced to nothing. our navy was completely destroyed. We, the Spanish people require massive assistance from its allies. if its not to much trouble, that is... allies arent required to come to our aid anyways.
if we do not receive any help from our allies, the Spanish empire may have to surrender.
we notice the soviet union failed to pay the 20 LPs. for the transfer of Constantinople. whatever. its not like i needed it.
