Hi guys!

In my PBEM game as Persia, I stole four times workers from various city states. As a result 8 city states formed antipersian alliance against me and promised rewards for any civ which would wage war on Persia.
One of my neighbour civs, Mongolia, ruled by a human player, declared war on me. It seems that Mongolia gets plus in relationship with these city states any time the Khan destroys one of my military units.
But I don't know precise mechanism of gaining profits from assisting anticiv CS alliance. For example, how much points of relationship does Mongolia gain when destroying my military unit? Does the Khan improve his relations with all city states in the alliance or with arbitrary city state from the alliance? What mongolian actions during the war could also cause pluses in relationship with CS alliance?

Game difficulty level is king.

Thank you for attention :)

Just attacking and killing you. as far as I know. They can also Gift Units which I think also gives them a additional bonus (as opposed to the normal "Gift Unit")

:hatsoff:
Quite funny to hear that they do this, I've never annoyed that many city states, came close a while ago though.

2 dow's can be enough for some to go to permanent war already.
Not sure if the AIs/other players really get influence for every unit they kill from you or only from units near a CSs border - just like with barbarians. Otherwise an AI would be auto-allied with about all CS for free after killing like 5-6 units of yours...

A city state will request for asistance and give the player who does assist them a bunch of relations. This is a lump sum though. I don't think you get improved relations with each unit you kill (I should really know this though as in multiplayer I often anticipate when a player wants to take a City State to make my move and attack to both get territory and an easy city state).

If you help destroying enough City-state's enemy's units, there's a message, for example, Stockholm war complete! - meaning that you've destroyed enough units and you get a big relationship boost.

Thank you for replies.
I am sure that the civ gets some boost in relations with city states when it kills one of persian military units, because I have experienced that kind of situation in my game.

My understanding is that you only get a boost from killing a single unit for a city-state if it's a barbarian unit threatening them.

In order to gain a boost by killing another civs units for a city-state I'm pretty sure you have to kill a certain number of units, after which the "complete war for [city-state]" quest pops up as finished and you get your influence reward.
