RFC Germania

Brandenburg - maybe, but Prussia kind of represents it and it may halt Prussian expansion. Pomerania could work, it's just very small and close to the Teutonic Knights.

I've also updated the following files: Civ4BuildingClassInfos, Civ4BuildingInfos, Civ4UnitInfos

to remove the Islamic buildings and units.

I also updated the DynamicCivs.py and added several corresponding XML files to the /text folder.

Now how should I transfer these changes to you?

BTW, @constantinople, what size is the map? I want to begin work on the CityNameManager.

I would like Pomerania personally, and Brandenburg as well, because I think of Prussia as being a successor of the Teutonic Knights, but a conqueror of Brandenburg.

The map is 70x70.

Lower Saxony should probably be renamed Hannover, since I'm pretty sure that's the kingdom that's going to be represented and it's somewhat confusing with Saxony also in.

Southern Netherlands? I presume by the spawn date that it's going to represent Spanish control there, then eventually Belgium?

Also, why are comments disabled?

They do indeed represent the Spanish control. I think it would be nice if the Dutch can really fight for there independence. And otherwise the area will be very empty I'm afraid.

If you give The Flame your google account, he can give you permission to make update. But please do note that if you remove a unit/building or something, you should also remove in from the const.py. (Also don't forget to change the number on top of the list of units/buildings)

I noted that many things are missing/incorrect. My last commit fixed several things, but that caused other problems. I will fix those today.

EDIT: Fixed them. I don't get an error anymore when I load the mod.

Great to have you on board Bair. As Merijn said. Give me your google account name and I'll add you to the group to edit the svn.

On starting city questions, I was putting city ideas in to fill the spaces for now.

If you make Swabia represent the Duchy of Swabia as well (making it spawn much earlier), you could have Frederick Barbarossa as its leaderhead.

Finished the map. Feel free to edit as you wish.

Wow. The map looks fantastic.

EDIT: A couple things already though. Konigsberg right now looks quite powerful, with access to a grassland river wheat, two fish, a crab, a pig, a horse, and a hilled iron. And if a player were perchance to move Konigsberg one tile west, they would lose the production bonuses of the iron and the horse, but would gain a colossal amount more food with the addition of a clam and a cow. O_O

Oh you're kidding me. I was operating under the assumption that the Teutonic Order and Prussia were separate civs, but now that I look at the XML files, that doesn't seem to be the case.

Can someone confirm that? I don't want to go and change my work again. :(

EDIT: Also, in my Python work, I used Hesse as opposed to Hessen. That's an easy fix, but from this, I think that we need to agree on fixed names for all the civs.

The Flame can correct me, but IIRC, they will be seperated civs. As this mod is in a very early stage, you shouldn't use the XML as a reference.

Yeah, right now, I just took a look at Consts.py, and I'm using that as a reference.

EDIT: Sorry for this, I'm not very experience with modding at all. :)

Feel free to edit the map as you wish, I just filled the map with an abundance of resources assuming you'd remove resources more than add them.

Bair I'll add you as a team member for the svn.

Teutonic Order and Prussia will be separate civs.

Hessen is the correct name I believe.

Nevermind figured out the map

It looks amazing. The civs should fit in very well. Nice job Constantinople.
And yes the resources can always be edited
