[RFC] Rome, the Conquering Empire

Deleted all Navy Seals on my side, did not give one to France though, as France insists upon stealing Preatorains and Macemen.

Whenever I play Rome on RFC/DoC, I keep a timetable handy for the Spanish, French & English spawns
so I can move out all of my troops from the flip zone on time and turn back to crush them with impunity.
Would be good to remember to do next time.

Indeed. Already checked the Civilopedia in RFC so that when I played as the Greeks, I didn't cause anyone to take my cities.

Please make a greek RFC history book style story once you finish this.

I just raze all of the cities I capture, and then when they appear, move my enormous army and crush them while they still have one city. Then I fill in the rest myself. Doesn't get me the historic victory, but hey, I play RFC for fun, not usually to win.

There was a massive change in the gameplay, deleted quite a bit more pictures than I intended and replaced them.... game is still ongoing at this time but in the late stages. Sorry about no update earlier, I was busy fixing some stuff around here and there.

Only for Tycho, sort of; look in here if you want to see a decent France and some advice:

Try shooting for a similar city configuration (one city per enemy core zone). If you raze all but one city in a civ's core, it heavily minimizes their chances of respawning, or at least makes them weaker too on respawn. It also saves you stability (from having to hunt down cities and colonies) if you hit them hard and fast and deny Settlers. Always raze Lisboa & Amsterdam. If you only have those cities, it's always sufficient for the Portuguese & Dutch to respawn.

Thanks Dawn, that looks really helpful. On Lisboa and Amsterdam.... Lisboa is still intact, as is Amsterdam, though for all the trouble that the Portugese have given me, I might as well have razed Iberia and sown the ground with salt.

:hmm:

You sir have just given me an idea. Implementing said idea now. Does it count if they are vassilized?

Well if you mean what I was talking about, then no, I was impressed that he conquered all of the US's cities with France. Why? if you were planning on conquering America with Rome, lol go ahead. That would be very interesting...

Actually, I built all those cities in Quebec and the one city in Louisiana.
I made sure I had no cities in America's flip zone and simply crushed them on spawn.
I later filled in the Denver & Chicago spots myself.

Just an idea I thought of. But then I realized that America voluntarily gave itself up to the glory that is Rome and decided that it would like to be friends. Can't say the same for most of the other European civs...
