War continues to rage on the frontier as Praetorian legions hold off French turncoats.
More Praetorians continue to be trained in Roma for the war effort as war affects every aspect of Roman life.
Roman scientists develop more improved forms of engineering, allowing troops to move faster overland and the formation of new units and structures.
A slaughter of French longbowmen and archers by Roman macemen cohorts proves that Roma has not lost it's fighting spirit.
A forum is undergoing continued construction in the city, the citizens preparing for the end of war that will come soon enough.
A new power arises on the British Isles. It is England, under the Union Jack and a fierce foe to contend with and a benign friend as well.
The first guilds are formed by enterprising Roman merchants. The guilds will soon rise to prominence amongst the world.
Combat begins to try and retake a Holy Roman city.

But as a real explanation, that battle down there with the Navy Seals was going badly. Save scummed twenty times and was still losing every time. Left and went to go get dinner, little brother decides to be nice, drops a dozen Navy Seals, kills the French, deletes them, and then proceeds to capture screenshot, asks me for money for the good work/luck/cheating he did, and goes on his merry way.
Do I have to scrap the entire story now? Go back to 850 A.D. and start over? Deeply sorry about that

Additionally, if you saw a small shockwave and mushroom cloud on the southeastern US coast, that might have been me.
