Soon after that, the last French stronghold at Rheims is annihilated and the garrison slaughtered to the man. Every Gaul in French territory that rose up in arms against the Empire is crucified on the road from Rheims to Roma. This lesson will be known as the Great Gaulic Purge, an event in which four million Gaul-Frenchmen perish. A further one million civilians and two million soldiers have died on the French side. Losses for Rome number close to nine hundred thousand civilians and soldiers.

Spain became more of a horrible neighbor as time went on, and the emperor Tiberius II sought to gain the land and riches of the Earth by conquering Iberia. War shall come to the peninsula. And soon.

Roma makes good on it's threat to destroy Spain. Barcelona is captured by the 3'rd Army under the command of General Harsus Racchus.

To mock the Spainards and to celebrate the victory at Barcelona, a giant tower begins construction in Rome. The tower is built on boggy ground however, and begins to list heavily as construction goes on.

Rome cuts a bloody swathe through the Spanish countryside as the March to Madrid begins.

Madrid falls so easily that the Romans hardly believe it and expect a trap to be set. None has been created however.

The successes of the Roman legions upon the Spaniard front has sent the Romans into a patriotic frenzy, as they believe that Roma is unconquerable in it's quest to desecrate all that is holy to other empires. Roma seeks to capture all that stands before them, and the Spanish seem to prove their ideology. There is just one problem.

Heavy losses on the German front have sent the Roman legions there in a downward spiral in terms of morale. Mutinees are common, and the Berlin-Ulm pact allies seem to enjoy the pain that they are causing to Roma.

Scholars create the first infograph charting the Empire's progress and growth against other's on a ranking system.

I think sickness over the balance between health and sickness causes that, but that's what happens when you priroritize industrialization over public health and sanitation.

Scholars compilation has encouraged emperor Maximaius IV to increase the nation in the sectors that were deemed lesser than other nations. This effort will become known as the Golden Age of Construction.

Efforts on the Spanish front march on as the invasion of Iberia continues.

The capture of Cadiz sees the deaths of many troops that attempt to storm the city and take it down, but their efforts are not in vain. The Spainish stronghold bends the knee to the glory that is Roma.

The great and mighty general Robertson Gaius Legius Lee leads the Praetorian armies in a brave defense against the barbarian hordes pouring out of the Sahara. Carthage will not fall under his watch.

Life in the Empire continues unabated despite wars and political turmoil after an uprising in the senate that sees the death of the Emperor.

Roman forces finally triumph and take Berlin. The amount of blood spilt and the bodies strewn about can not be measured in words. They can however be measured in statistics.
