I love to rush Gupta if the starting situation permits because of the whopping income from the two shrines.
What ideas do you have?
Just in case somebody doesn't want to get spoilered
More emphasis on India; Kushana, Arabs and Rajputs, which could make a MoH like Emperor of India thing possible, Champa as Pirates, Xiongnu as playable barbs and Ainu maybe. Funan, Uyghurs, Pyu and Pala very unlikely.
That would require some of my favourite civs to be rewritten entirely, that's why it's not there now.
Back after a hiatus. I just did a cultural victory as the Ghaznavids and got a terrible low score at the end. I was wondering, which are the other civs which would get a cultural victory ? I'm thinking Tang Dynasty and Chalukya.
Welcome back Don't mind, development is a bit slow right now anyway.
Chalukya is propably the next best candidate, Tang's UP should make Legedary a lot easier (though i have to say i never considered this before you said it). Any civ with a lot of jungle could produce a large population if you put Rice terraces everywhere to train specialists. I'm thinking especially Nanzhao, Burma and Khmer.
As the Gokturks I immediately conquered the Hephthalite people. I just walked through with the Turkish Warriors and took all the cities he owned straight to the capital. Then I focused inward, and built as many wonders as possible and built mines and workshops everywhere. When the Ghaznians spawned I let them take their land, then I built up my army and waited until the right moment then crushed them. Also I had to build the Great Wall because the barbarian camel archers were giving me hell. The largest empire victory goal was easily solved by taking all the Hephthalite land and the "reveal the most of the land" was easy because I just sent out a Xiongnu horseman I flipped. The third victory condition was more difficult because the Song have a good set up with industrial capability. The large empire and spamming of mines, forges, and workshops come in handy here. In the end I just ended up taking some Independent cities on the Indus to help boost industry and I also built every wonder I could so that no one else could have them. Also the technology boost helped me with stay ahead of the Song. The Song nearly screwed me over by having a golden age only a few turns before the deadline of the third victory condition, 1200. I set all the cities I had to focus production and then I won. The Gokturks were actually pretty easy all in all. Also I got alot of European encounters from settling on the Indian Ocean.
nice writeup I'm not sure if the biggest empire is possible in both scenarios after the Chinese got a bump in their size. At least Song will most likely be nerfed down a bit because they seem to survive the Jurchen too often for my taste.
Thanks What I thought was most interesting was actually just cosmetic. The civ was the Sui but they were called he Qin. They also survived the Tang but died with the Song. And I haven't played much of the late games of RFCA so I don't know about the Jurchen really. They just spawned as I won the game.
You should really try the Jurchen its really fun .
Anyone done a domination game with an Indian civ ? I think the Mauryans should be perfect for it.
Is this thread dead ? :-/
