Can we please have countries start with state religions? It feels weird to be Portugal and start with a Catholic Missionary, but then have to switch to Catholicism


EDIT: Can you also please switch the spy for statesman like in DoC? Seems more historical IMO

1) If I'm not mistaken, it was already done in the SVN.
2) DoC hasn't switched the spy for statesman. It has changed spy mechanics AND added statesmen.

1) it did that less than 24 hours before I posted that
2) True, mostly I like the stateman specialist and GP plus associated effect of allowing anarchy free civic switch and the solve crisis mechanic could be replaced by instead just giving stability points.

Actually I always planned to change spies somehow (even thought of removing them altogether), as I felt that the current mechanics are out of place in a medieval mod like this.
When I saw a couple months ago that spies were improved in DoC, and statesmen introduced instead of their specialists, I made a note about it on my todo list right away.
Not yet sure what will I do exactly about spies (how similar it will be to the DoC improvements), but it's sure that eventually those mechanics will be updated too
 
HOUSTON! we got problem.

i play as aragon, and all went sweet. spain was an idiot, so i took andalusia for myself. Its potential now for aragon, which is powerful, but in theses days when stability is allways a problem with any civ, its fine. i was between -2 and +12.
but ani 1354 i got a CTD!!!
if its not that save, i am sorry, my savegames are messed up.

I chose the yellow despite being hard to see because that is the color the game uses

You have the Ottomans conquering provinces that are destabilizing to possess before they are conquering ones that it is destabilizing to not possess, and due to the timing if you focus on stability buildings you can't get enough units to conquer the provinces or if you focus on units to conquer the provinces you will be collapsing and lose cities due to stability.

Suggested reconfiguration that is also more historically accurate with regard to timeline

The Ottomans should also have militarism

I have never seen a city in Macedonia by Ottoman start

I am able to load this save. But I don't get a CTD. :confused: Played until 1365 AD.

This save is however from 1356 AD. Maybe the crash happen a turn before the save?
 
Got a CTD myself.

The log tells that it happens during the turn of France. It looks like it is related to the vassalization of England. The last line in the log hints to that and making England a vassal of France by WB cures the problem.

no. but that was a hungary game or aragon? aragon game should crash. otherwise i try to save that game and not by auto.

I updated to the current SVN and played a Genoa game. Everything went well - no crashes. But there was a mistake with the 2nd UHV counter. I found 2 corps, but only one got counted in the victory screen. I still got the check upon finishing the eighth bank.
 

Please don't post in the SVN changelog thread. It's only for the moderators to announce changes. Comments can be made in other threads.
