RFCE 1.3 Playtest Feedback

Btw, how did you achieve almost +120 stability?
Something seems broken there
Especially since you don't even have castles in your cities

CTD. Windows 10. v1.3 unpatched, which has been working fine. Not sure what my SVN is, but if you tell me how to find it, I'll report it.

Is there any way to get around a crash like this? I would like to keep playing this game. Thanks.

Everyone have access to the development version of the mod, to be able to play with the latest improvements right away.
You can reach it on sourceforge with TortoiseSVN for example.
Check this thread: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=485431

Your savegame is attached from the beginning of the next turn.
Did a little cheat on the Bulgarian conquest of Vidin, but I don't think that matters too much.
Have fun!

Bump - what about my CTD Spanish game :mischief: I would like to continue it, please please :)

Sure, here it is :)
Gilgames, I attached your Portuguese game too
Both from the beginning of the next turn

So I tried again the 1001 nights tale and utterly collapesed, wich is good, but too early which is bad.I held uhv1 territory plus cyrencia and tripolitana. conquered tarsus, ionikon and konstantiyye. and that's all 1 turn later I collapsed. no comment.

Yeah, I added a new collapse mechanincs for the human player, based on your comments. Thanks!
Your exploit for intentionally going into crazy amount of negative stability (while having city secession every couple turns but not total collapse), and then liberating/gifting many cities away at once for hundrends of +stability was really creative :)
Creative, but still had to go. Now collapse will definitely happen if you are very unstable.
Big empires still have more chance for city secession if they are unstable with a reasonable amount of - stability.

Getting a CTD as Scotland after year 1173. Happens every time I try to run it.

Which version do you play with? If SVN, which revision?

As I told you in pm too, preventing this is one business, but your numbers are too hard.
I would make it so: no collapse with less then -20 at all and increase the chance to collapse till -50. Thats roughly +3% for each +1 point of stability above -20.

As a human player you shouldn't really go below -15 stability.
If you are you should be in a serious danger of collapse, which is 60% at the moment.
Also this is not checked every turn, so it's much less chance for a given turn. Probably around 8-10%
It's true that it's much more significant than before, but that's great for gameplay IMO.
It's not normal that you can reach -120-130 stability if you are lucky enough with secessions.
Btw human collapse still leaves your capital under your control, so it's not game over, but represents a huge revolt.

The Moroccans still don't have Literature at spawn so Religious Law switches to Tribal Law after one turn.

Still? :p The previous report was for Cordoba IIRC
Thanks, will fix it with the next revision

I downloaded the mod about a week ago so whatever version it was then (1.3 at least). I'm not sure what SVN is.

Okay, don't worry about the SVN. Do you also use the 1.3.1 patch from the same thread, or 1.3 in itself?
If you do want to try it though (and always play with the latest development version), check the stickied thread about it.

ok, i really cannot convince you, that its not ok. in my last turkey try however average stability was -20.

Some things connected to Turkey will be changed, currently they have way too many foreign cities in their historic area.
If nothing else, starting stability will be set for them to a more balanced value
