Rhye's and Fall of the Triumvirates

Some unpleasant surprise for Persia this turn :mischief:

Its not a surprise at all. Frankly I'm surprised you didn't take Shush the same turn you DOW me. Persia is not meant to defeat Greece. So when Greece gives Phalanx to Babylon, Persia can't take down Babylon. And with the head start and copper, the entire Persian advantage is gone. You basically had me checkmated before I even spawned. I can't get annoyed at that, there's literally nothing I can do other than try to defend myself and see what happens. GG

This turn the Japanese spawn, should I still send it to China as the game asks me to, or should it be to the new Japanese player ?

If the game asks you to send it to China.

Actually I've played my turn for almost 2 days but forgot to pass it along... Sorry everyone.

I need your email Hercules.

This game slowed down so much :(

House Rules:
No spawn killing, duh

So I guess Babylon and Greece ganging up and attacking Persia within 10 turns of their spawn isn't spawn killing somehow? Its not a very good house rule if it isn't enforced. Nor do we have any idea when the timer starts with when a civ is considered out of the spawn stage and able to be attacked.

Hm, you're right, we should have specified that more.

Sorry - my fault. I just realised that it had been sitting in my outbox as a failed to send message for like a week. I am sorry everyone.

And sorry about the killing faff - I have always interpreted no spawn killing as not killing someone on the turn their stack appears - is being able to collateral it into nothing without them getting a chance to respond, but clarity probably would be better. But I can see your grievance as there is little you could do about it :(

Yeah exactly. But it is really hard to define, thats the problem with a multiplayer RFC game. It's not like I wouldn't have marched into Babylon like I was supposed to, I definitely would have if I was able. Meh, whatever, its not that big a deal. Just worth pointing out is all.

I for one think that this is all ReallyEvilMuffin's fault for falling for Tigranes' lies and intrigue. Now the game is doomed!

GPS to Alexander the Great!

Warning to all players, especially Greece Babylon and Persia.

Carthage is growing behind your back. While you have been creating alliances against each other (Greece/Babylon against Persia apparently) Carthage will soon have a powerful empire stretching across half the Mediterranean. He will accomplish his first two UHVs and unless REM beats him to circumnavigation he may even win the UHV. Last turn his forces entered Rome, and are now threatening Mediolanum. If he is allowed to conquer Italy completely he will have access to 3 dyes (Morocco Normandy and England) without having to fight any of you. Without your intervention soon it will be too late.
