Rhye's Catapult

1920:

Mansa Musa and Caesar both founded a city on the West Coast in America...

...Roosevelt DID NOT SPAWN

Arabia is te first to put a city on Australia... no one else did that yet

1943

Something is not quite right with the Spanish:
They have four settelrs standing idle on Iceland...
Their settler wander escorted in Canada - no place good to found a city...

In the meantime Persia settled Iceland and has one city in South America.

North America is multicultured: Russia and France got there with a city

I have noticed settlers wandering around guarded with nowhere to settle as well. In my case it was Persia trying to find somewhere in SE asia.

Well, idle settler of China and Russia on Van Diemen's Land
(south of Australia) /see pic/

Rome's got the Falkland Islands

V. Soma, no wonder you don't reply to my PMs ... you're way too busy with this mod!

This looks pretty interesting Rhye, and I have heard many good things about it from Gunner. I'll have to give it a shot at a later date! :)

Ooopps, sorry - I will take care of that mail! :)

Rhye is about to give us a new version tonight, so check out later here! ;)

Rhye, here I give you the map as in 2000

Nobody went to the Carribbeans.

Indonesia and Australia got settled only shortly before 2000.
Japanese settlers wandered all around in Australia but did not settle.

Of the europeans, only England visited Africa.

In general:
settlers wander around for a long time and "hesitate" to settle for many, many years...

I have no explaination for those weird results.
I'm uploading now, let's hope there's some progress.

Changelog for 0.26:

-Handicap levels that differ from AI to AI
-Tech assignment bug fixed
-More barbarian cities
-More barbarian units (will break contacts at the beginning)
-Jerusalem might found Judaism (please report if it happens)
-Prefered distance from city to city customized from civ to civ (standard distance for China and India, much shorter for all the euros)
-A couple of fixes here and there

Hm, hm... (AD 500):

EDIT: Funnily, now (AD 820) I have a 1-city-France and a 3-cities-Spain on the peninsula...

I usually fortify both the settler and the warrior, and keep pressing enter
Game.AIPlay <number of turns> should make the AI play against itself for the set number of turns, with no human intervention needed (it spawns you a lion on the ice). Alternative there is a very small SDK hack you can do to produce the same results (I had a bit of trouble with the console...)

EDIT: I can't seem to get Game.AIPlay to work on my machine however...

v026 - TEST 2

AD 1000

I have no Spain spawn this time

but I have a strong France with Lutetia Parisorum as capital! :)
(nice move, Rhye, to see it getting a roman name at capture by Caesar!)

Also I welcome England making 3 cities on main island, no matter her being pushed up by France's border

-

Techs are now given correctly,
I had Christianity both times in France...

Judaism, though, went to Egypt both times, to Thebe...

It is nice to see eastern religions in China and India :)

-

now I play a 3rd one till 1000, and then take them all 3 forward till colonization

EDIT:

Oh, and I saw a Chinese warrior getting into Europe by BC 2000, and thus meeting Greece

V026 - TEST 3

It is different again:

Now the map has all: France, Spain - where they should be :)
But now London is in far north, thus only 2 cities for England.

Rhye:

How about giving a galley to Liz at start?
So that she could settle Ireland fast...

And please give back Egypt the short-distance cities...
now it is ugly for poor Hatsy...
In this 3rd test, she has only 2 cities, size 4 and 2, 2nd city not along the Nile

I think Greece is a bit too strong at start, gets a bit too much of the barb cities in the Babylon area - in this 3rd test Greece got Ur, for instance.
I suggest less military units for Alex at start.

Also consider less military for Germany - it can be that when Germany gets Lutetia,
then France is forced into Iberia..?

EDIT:
I would also consider allowing Mongolia the short-distance, they do not have very good land...
-

In test 3, an Indian warrior made it to the border of Europe,
so more barbs would do good...

Rhye, I love the way you "direct" the 2nd and 3rd city of Rome :)
The 4th city was in all 3 tests Antium, in the Pireneus of Spain.
Is that OK with you?
