Crusades were part of it. Malta... has some of it, but not very important.

Same for the other crusading orders. Except, of course, they only answer the riddle parts that have to do with the Holy Land.

Japan is definately not a part of it.

Meh, I don't think so. Not many Aragonese crusaders that I remember. In fact, the one launched by the great Jaume (James) II was a complete failure (the fleet didn't hold lines and sailed back before reaching Mallorca)
