1: "English alphabet". That's 15 letters.

2: "Them" reffers to the children and the WOMAN, not just the children. Therefore, 4 are boys.

3: The guy is vertically chalanged and thus cannot reach the higher buttons in the elevator. (ofcourse, he was also mentally challenged for not taking a stick  )
1) Wrong. Aren't you forgetting something?

2) Um, how can a woman be a boy?

3) :goodjob:

All three have already been answered correctly before, BTW.

There are 5 cats in a boat. One jumps out. How many are left?

1 left. The other cats chose to leave the cat there in the water. Therefore, the cat in the water was left by the others.

A man walked into a bar and asked the bartender for a drink. The bartender pulled out a gun and aimed it at the man. He said "Thank you" and left. Why?
[/B]

he asked for a "shot"

actually Vras, he did NOT ask for a "shot." the man said "give me a drink"

Was it a water pistol?

@ Noldodan:
2. The man had hiccups. The guy scared him by pulling out the gun, and got rid of his hiccups.

3. He had a parachute in the backpack.

D&G, you're correct on both counts. you must have gone to the same place my teacher did! :D Any guesses on the first one?

PS: 100th post! YAY!:D :goodjob: :D

Will's riddle: Poison gas
Arrgh, another correct answer! Okay, I'll give you credit for that one, but now let me narrow it down some: The building can't use this product because of the type of building it is. (And yes, I described it.) Many other buildings use this product. Now I can only think of two possible answers.

@ WillJ: Poison gas doesn't really make sense in terms of the riddle, if you ask me.

It's a product that each and every one of you has almost certainly used before, some of you every day.

By a show of hands, how many people here use poison gas on a daily basis?

You didn't get it. I said that "them" reffers to the children and the WOMAN, not just the children. Making a total of 8 people. Half of the 8 are boys (making four boys).

We always use it where i come from. We use it to everything:(

What is a stairwell, by the way?

a stairwell is a flight of stairs arranged in a sorta-spiral configuration

Hmm. It depends on how many cats are right. :hmm:

That's not right, huh? Ok, I'll go away now.

allright then the man is a person that guards a lighthouse. The light in the lighthouse went out. No wonder the man became sad.:(

...poor lighthouse man:cry:

ummm, i see the problem. by sorta-spiral i meant that there is a straight section of stairs, a landing, then another section of stairs. so you see, a lighthouse doesn't work.

I couldn't wait any longer for the answer Puglover, so I looked it up. And yes, they will want to kill you.

What, you don't use poison gas?! ;) (Yeah, I guess you're right; I forgot about that part.)

I see now. However, isn't a pronoun's antecedent understood to be the noun right before the pronoun, or closest to it? Of course, riddles bend the rules of the English language, so I guess your answer is acceptable too.

What's an extension ladder? Is it just a really long ladder? I don't know if those are used all too common in most buildings, but I guess it works. Now I can think of three correct answers (besides the one you just said).
