So me and Megs were talking about factions for this. One I came up with would be a Minecraft/Doom faction. You could probably call it The Forces of Nether. I'm having a hard time coming up with a backstory for it though.

So me and Megs were talking about factions for this. One I came up with would be a Minecraft/Doom faction. You could probably call it The Forces of Nether. I'm having a hard time coming up with a backstory for it though.

When the UAC was experimenting with teleportation on Phobos, they accidently created a portal to Hell. However, this Hell was... different. It was all blocky, and seemed to be, for a place that was supposedly the palace of evil, surprisingly passive. The pigmen who lived there left the researchers alone, and the ghasts did occasionally attack, they only seemed provoked when the researchers approached them. With no real need to panic, the UAC sends researchers into this new world, nicknamed the Nether. When they performed teleportation experiments within a Nether, they caused a plane shift. The blockiness dissapeared, and while the regular citizens of the Nether were still there, more 'tradtional" demons joined their ranks. They were now in regular Hell, and the demons were pissed. They enslaved the Nether forces, and marched against humanity a la Doom.
