For some reason on my new vista laptop, when on a website, the right click does NOTHING.

everywhere else on my pc its fine (even on the top bit of the internet, just not the website bit)

Any idea whats going on here? Really annoyng since I can't copy/paste anything!

Does it work on other internet browsers than you are currently using?

ALL websites, using internet explorer.. i assume up to date since im on vista..

Try a reinstall of IE or switch to Firefox. Try checking the mouse settings to make sure the right click is properly configure.

Check IE settings to see if right click is disabled in any of that. I've pretty much never used IE in 12 years on the net, so I don't even remember what's configurable in it.

Some websites disable right-clicking to prevent people downloading pictures etc. It can be got-around (ctrl+right-click??)

That can be gotten around by shutting down Java on those sites too. It's mainly places that are protecting copyrighted pics or something. But there's normally a popup telling you right click is disabled.

Its even on this website.. its on all websites

I don't know of anything within IE that would do that. Try looking at your mouse properties in Control Panel.

mouse is plugged in.. but even the laptop mouse/touchpad thingy doesn't work either.

How about your left click? IIRC you can reverse the buttons.

I think you likely either have the wrong mouse drivers or the wrong mouse configuration in the control panel
