The Cree's trade delegation may offer pemmican, buffalo hide, and/or beaver pelts.
Hmmm maybe buffalo was a hint after all ... (one other person here will get that reference, and no I am not being serious...

So...just like what they did in Civ 5?I guess my reasoning for Ottomans being left out is that I can't see a way that the Ottomans are added without the Byzantine counter-balance.

So, looking at this picture we can see 2 new Civilization colour pairings:
Cree is green on navy blue
And there is another Civ which is white(?) on light brown
The leader icons from right left to right seem to be:
Jadwiga, "2", Seondeok, "4", Cree Player
To me, the Cree Player looks female, but it's up for interpretation.
Unknown player 2 looks dark skinned with a red leader icon background and I don't think matches with any pre-R&F leaders or the three we have seen officially already.
Unknown player 4 may be Catherine de Medici but I can't entirely tell.
Either way, unless another pre-R&F Civ/Leader has had a colour change, there is defiantly a new colour pairing in this first look video, which makes me think that this will not be the next First Look video to be released. The white on light brown Civ will be released first if they are brand new and then the Cree. (Alternatively it could be Netherlands but I can't see Wilhelmina's icon, and these colours might be for a new Civ before everyone's colour change that was evident in the last livestream).
Also at the very top of the screen there looks to be some sort of natural wonder, possibly a lake which is providing +1 faith, +2 food and +2 culture across at least 2 tiles?
She might be.Perhaps the Cree leader is the same potrait (leader #5 from the civ guide) From the Mongolia leak a week ago ? Can't tell the two unknown leaders the picture is too small for my own eyes.
She might be.
She's still living and thus her music is copyrighted.Buffy St. Marie... the theme music will be easy.

I'm a little concerned about the lack of scenarios in this expansion. It seems we are getting none. Which could mean we get DLC in the future.
I'm trying to think of past Civ games expansions that did not have scenarios. But my memory isn't that great. Maybe Play the World for Civ3? It seems like all the expansions had scenarios, or maybe I'm just misremembering.
We could see a Cree + Canada scenario as well as a Byzantines + Ottomans scenario in upcoming R&F-exclusive DLCs.
I concur. That's what i've thought. I however don't think it's likely that they will make an appearance in this expansion pack. And I think it's more likely to see the Ottomans grouped together with Hungary. Byzantium is probably a staple civ for a second or third expansion pack.
Which doesn't make sense to me, since the Ottomans conquered and ended the Eastern Roman Empire. To me, the Byzantines and Ottoman Empires are as married in my mind as the Byzantines and the Romans. More so, really. They aren't going to put Byzantines and Ottomans in the same expansion or DLC. Players complain badly enough that they even coexist in the same game.
Some people complain for the sake of complaining.Which doesn't make sense to me, since the Ottomans conquered and ended the Eastern Roman Empire. To me, the Byzantines and Ottoman Empires are as married in my mind as the Byzantines and the Romans. More so, really.
Where were you when they introduced Ottomans in Civ5 Vanilla and Byzantines only later in G&K?Which doesn't make sense to me, since the Ottomans conquered and ended the Eastern Roman Empire. This seems really strange to me - completely different cultures and even playstyles if implemented into the game. And it's funny to see one side complaining about this while the other keeps asking for Italy/Mexico/Argentina on top of the ancient civs in those areas. They aren't going to put Byzantines and Ottomans in the same expansion or DLC. Players complain badly enough that they even coexist in the same game.
@Kimiimaro would love it more if Charles IV of Bohemia were there as well.Xpac 2: Empires in Arms
Byzzies, Hungary under Stephen I, Ottomans. with a scenario with city state/great general in Wallachia![]()
