On the other hand, quite a few people in India speak English, which is (as I understand) displacing Hindi as the lingua franca in many parts of India, and is also one of India's official languages. The Civ games probably aren't too popular in India. There's no Hindi language version of the game.
That might be the reason why Firaxis has zero plans on releasing a Hindi localization of Civ.The Civ games probably aren't too popular in India. There's no Hindi language version of the game.
I think this explains the superiority of Fahrenheit in terms of use by humans.![]()
Switzerland!Let's discuss a potential civ and leader not capable of winning domination victories.
Yes, we can mention the Cree, but that's for another thread.
I'm discussing a different civ.
I wouldn‘t like that at all. I can do without the Zulu and if we get Uallas, he should lead Scotland. Plus Zulus would likely be heavy warmongers, and we already got that. Uallas might get interesting defensive bonuses towards loyalty or something, which could be nice.Over on the polling thread it mentions a Chinese forum claiming to write the localised Civilopedia articals for Zulu and Celts' "Brave Heart" suggesting William Wallace.
Switzerland!
And always provide open boarders and can attack units whilst not at war.Civilization Unique Ability: Cannot declare war. Cannot be declared war upon.
Nah, it should be possible to declare war against them. It‘s armed neutrality after all.Civilization Unique Ability: Cannot declare war. Cannot be declared war upon.
Although I don't think there was any claim that those civs would be revealed next, so it could be accurate but we still get one of the more likely civs this coming week. ("More likely" based on the poll that closed yesterday)Well that leak fake or not , just couple days till reveal to wait.
That's true. Around 60% of Indians don't even speak Hindi, and virtually every Indian communicates in English online, so that's why there's never a Hindi version of any game. That might be the reason why Firaxis has zero plans on releasing a Hindi localization of Civ.The Civ games probably aren't too popular in India. I'm not sure it would be better. I mean it's good if they choose to focus on a particular group but calling them the Celts would just defy all reason. If, hypothetically, those leaks are true and William Wallace leads the "Celts", it is possible that he has only Scottish/Gaelic cities. Which in this case would make him a Gaelic leader.
Still a step up from Civ 5 Celts tho)

Can send its units to fight in wars between other civs for money.
Do we know if they would be called the Celts? The could be called the Gaels/Gaelic Empire encompassing both Ireland and Scotland.I'm not sure it would be better. I mean it's good if they choose to focus on a particular group but calling them the Celts would just defy all reason.
