just a possibility - Poland also comes from Jooyo's RoM expansion pack could this be causing some differences. Not that I can even use the megapack. - I now can use the megapack but when I install 1.6 I get all kinds of XML errors but none to do with Poland

hum.. I open the rar file of the 2.62 megapack (downloaded today) and there is no UU for poland...

There is: Casimir, Folwark, Heavy Hussar, Sobieski, Walesa... and the xml file for poland...


Hum... Uhlan in your pack should have more file or not exist...

Well, blow me but you're right. I just had a look. Turns out that the Uhlan is an addition made to the Poland civ by Jooyo - you can either install that add-on from here, or just go ahead and delete that Uhlan folder.

My apologies, it never occurred to me that Joyoo had added that unit

Can you quote me some of those errors? I'm playing right now with no XML errors, so I must be missing something in my work flow (such as the above).

I don't need to because I did not do a proper re-install. Now that I have, I am back to not being able to play with the mega pack, but at least I am getting to the menus now and no XML errors except those Soul oWar was getting

Yep, delete that Uhlan folder. For the next version, I'm actually going to leave that part out of the main installation and have the Uhlan files as a part of a compatibility patch instead.

Religion by aar... + the patch by dancing

Only issue so far is that BUG reports issues with creating several .ini files when I start a new game. Game plays fine, but I noticed that my changes made using CTRL+ALT+O are not saved, and when I load a save game after making the changes, BUG reverts to the defaults. (Minor issue)

If I were you, I would install R.O.M.E. after Joyoo's Better Game play, or the Uhlan unit won't have the correct upgrade path.

I have update R.O.M.E. to 1.8. A detailed change log (along with the download link) can be found in the opening post of this thread. Probably the most significant change is that I've moved away from simply publishing my mod for my enjoyment to something more tailored to the public's needs. So, you'll find that R.O.M.E. is now designed for the 'lite' (or, rather, the original) version of Rise Of Mankind 2.62, and functionality for the Mega Pack and for Joyoo's Better Gameplay is provided in the form of compatibility patches.

As ever, please post some feedback.

Zulu, have you experience art issues with the workers for New Zealand? They showed up as pink blobs for me when testing my Venice addon.

I have not had a chance yet (still at work) to change my install order per your suggestion, so this may be the reason?

Nope, no art problems at all. Some civs have missing dilpo info (Khazaria, I think) but I haven't encountered any pink blobs whatsoever.

I don't think that's the problem. I've made no changes to the New Zealand civ, and I don't think that Joyoo has either.

Okay, I need some help.

I've added a Greek unit art style and a new city-specific UU system. Everything shows up fine in the civilopedia, but when I start a game as Greece I get the no interface bug: the tech tree pops up unbidden at start of game and I have no interace. I really can't see what's causing it, but I'm pretty sure that it's this module - I took it out and I could play the game as Greece with full interface. Can someone please take a look at it for me? I'd be ever so grateful!
