Rome graciously extends the hand of friendship to Macedonia: we will declare war on Persia and give them the technology of mathematics and our world map, in exchange for them declaring war on Carthage.

For the alliance of Macedonia and Rome!

Tboy, 1st Consul of SPQR.

Thx for the offer Tboy. We are not allowed to team up in alliances yet though...

Alexander captured Antioch! :goodjob:

Bloody battles took place at the river banks outside Antioch with heavy casualties on both sides.

Question: What is the defensive bonus for being behind river in this scenario?
I checked the pedia and it stated 25%

I dont know whether that is true or not cause those persian units behind river really were difficult to defeat.

Drat, I forgot about that rule... Turdburgler will not be happy. Will you accept the alliance later, though? And what turn are we on, anyway?
As for the river, I'm pretty sure the bonus is 25%. They're might have been walls, or it was at city size, or good defensive units, or it may just have been bad luck.

Well, at least you have 5 turns warning now Turdburgler. Don't worry, I'll go easy on you... maybe.

:bump: where's this game at, i haven't seen it in over 2 weeks.

Persian Couter offensive across the river is twarted with little fighting. Meanwhile, the Persian navy at least proves their willingness to sacrifice their lives for the good of Persian people.

Turdburglar , could you resend the save? it seems like something didn't work somewhere, as i didn't get it.

Whats happened? Who's got the save?

i don't know, but i still don't have the save. i'm almost positive it is still with TurdBurgler.

I've PM'ed nTurdBurgler about the save. Hopefully he'll reply soon.
