i'm going to start actively persuing the start of my next game. i gotta fine tune the rules a bit more and see what sort of interest there is in it.
so IF and WHEN you guys figure out who should get the allied victory, then that's that.
if you cant figure out who should be winner now, then
IF every one sends orders i will do another update, but i'm no longer pushing for that to happen.
so if any of the players want to see an official resolution to this game (be it allied victory or another turn or more) they will ahve to do the nagging and begging that seems to have become required to get the players to respond to anything.
just as a guide for the allied victory thing:
discounting the map layout, the following things prety much guarantee an eventual victory for an allience.
if you have more cash now then the rest of the world combined. (ie headstart)
if your land multiplied by number of players is more then the same for the rest of the world (ie more income per turn)
and if you have more armies then the rest of the world (because otherwise you could be in line to lose your dominance this turn)
the best way i can "quantify" the map layout requirement for allied victory is:
if the number of territories you need to defend to "keep your back end safe" is smaller then the number of territories the "enemy" would have to defend against you.
or maybe it should be a ratio of territores that need defence vs ones that dont.
not sure here.
i think at this point its prety clear that Africa (gruban) has a prety big dominance, so its unlikely that any allience without him will be "able" to declare allied victory.
