Ronald Reagan: Traitor and War Criminal

Standards have sadly fallen I'm afraid. You know I'm going to law school? Think on that for a moment, I'm going to be a lawyer. Now think on what that means for our great nation. It's horrible isn't it? A sad testimony to the decline of American power in all manners.

, Do you have any idea how many second rate graduates pumped out by universities through standardless humanities disciplines think they'll get in a second rate law school and then become big time lawyers? I wish you all luck, and it seems you'll definitely need it.

By the way, you'll have to learn proper citation if you want to be a lawyer. And despite what movies and TV might tell you, few lawyers get away with fallacious argumentation.

It's not problem I'm sure a sufficiently large donation can guarantee anything you know. American capitalism my friend. Money talks. George W went to Yale and Harvard you know. Even became President from what I hear. Great man George W. An inspiration to me, on how to do the least and most incomplete work possible and still succeed in life. The lesson I've learnt from him and the American dream is that it is actually possible to BS your way through life and succeed beyond wildest expectations. God bless George W. I've decided to model my career on him. Dodge the draft, get caught drunk driving, get a C average in college, and become President.

Do you contest the evidence sinner? Is 666 not the number of the Beast? Does Reagan's name not have 666? Therefore Reagan must be the Anti-Christ.
Just two quick questions: is your name Louis and do you like bow-ties? Thanks. Peace.

Wow, I didn't know you were an extremely wealthy man in your own right as well as through inheritance, and your father was President of the United States. You are quite right then, you are destined for (not quite) greatness rather than miserable failure as I thought before.

btw: GWB was never a lawyer. And the job sadly does require knowing proper citation.

Wait wait wait Schurz, the noted Republican, advised Cleveland on something, advice he took uncritically? And yet Cleveland refused to compromise with Republicans?

As I said in the other post, Cleveland was above all a capitalist idealouge. He did not bend when it came to his belief in free market principles. Hence his opposition to strikes and organized labor, support for the lowering the tariff, the gold standard and so forth. Once he learnt about the tariff issue and became under the impression that it was good for the free market he campaigned for it tirelessly and made it the major platform of his 1888 campaign must to his detriment.

He was in fact rather well liked by the Republicans.

.
He confused firmness with rigidity and would not budge from his position. This stubbornness in his ideals was in fact the reason for his election as President in 1884. “a good part of Cleveland’s appeal for them consisted in the fact that he yielded nothing to the Republican leadership in conservatism.” He was well liked by the Republicans and had their support and the support of the big business interests, in particular people like Andrew D. White and Jay Gould who were overjoyed that Cleveland had “overcome his ‘sympathies for the working people’.” Cleveland ideologically had more in common with the Republicans and he would increasingly break with the Democrats during his Presidency with the result that he would be alienated from his own party.

He would have fit in just fine in the Republican party. In fact that's the party he should have joined.

The Republican Party was the pro-imperialist one at the time, and his steadfast opposition to imperialism would've been a bit conflicting within that.

I'm interested in how Reagan paid Iran not to release the hostages. What's the source for that? I figured the Iranis waited on their own, wanting to ruin the then-president of their own volition.

I had dibs on him providing a source for Ronald and Nancy Reagan being devout Satanists. Get in line.

Howard Zinn and credible argumentation are polar opposites. His career pretty much is condensed to, "hey look at me, I hate America. Observe my whacky antics as I talk about how much I hate America!"

By the way, I'm just curious: when you said that the Polish-Soviet War was one of Polish imperialism -- that was a joke, right? You were just kidding about that, right?

Piłsudski, made no secret of his Międzymorze project or the Promothesist plan. His desire to see Poland control all of Eastern and Central Europe restoring the borders of the old Commonwealth and far beyond stretching from the the Ukraine and Baltics including Czechoslovakia, Romania, Yugoslavia, and other Slavic countries. He also sought to carve up Russia, and break it up along ethnic lines. It is for this purpose he saw an opportunity to attack Russia while it was weak. It's for that reason Poland took Vilinus from Lithuania their historic capital alienating them. It's for that reason the Ukrainians were alienated as Poland made clear its desire to see Ukraine annexed. It was rather clearly a war Poland started partially by design partially due to circumstance and opportunity. It was an imperialistic desire to see Poland's territory expanded to encompass aforementioned lands. So yes imperialism.

I don't feel compelled to respond to dolts like Howard Zinn, in the same way that I don't feel compelled to respond to dolts that think the U.S. government wired the WTCs with explosives, or that the world is secretly run by lizard people.

I was sort of hoping that your abhorrent historical revisionism (which, upon second thought, is rather in line with Howard Zinn's line of work) was just an act, but alas, I guess not.

And yet, we're on page six of this topic, and Kara has yet to provide a citation for Ronald and Nancy Reagan being devout Satanists. Tsk, tsk, tsk.
