Ruff07 - Poor Marvin, but really ... who cares?

I'm not sure we want to switch ... does anyone remember the other Eddie personality from the radio show / book / movie?

Got it, everyone.

e: I played from ruff's... damnit. I wrote a nice report too. Damnit tycoonist! SKIPPED!

I'll play tommorow.

Why myst? I asked the big guy to research writing.

i like eddie's personality. i chose mysticism cos we need to pop some of our borders and libraries take way too long.

Is this the one which refused to open the hatch on Magrathea (sp?) until Zaphod started threatening the computer with a large stack of axemen?

We'll have something like that soon, won't we? :mischief:

Hi there everyone, this is Eddie your shipboard computer bring you an update on this SG. I hope that everyone is having a really chipper day and getting along well with others..

tycoonist posted his late report (:hmm:) on May 07, 2008, 05:50 PM and Quotey posted his got in on May 07, 2008, 06:28 PM - well within the 24 hour window. The 'post a report' window will close on May 09, 2008, 06:28 PM.

Hi there everyone. It seems that this SG is particularly time-challenged. Quotey has missed his report window and so he is now skipped. I think we should change the name of this SG from Marvin to 'Skip along with Eddie' - any thoughts on that?

I'm sure that Eddie is just following his programming - but that is probably something we could adjust. Any thoughts team?

May 9 6PM? It's 10! It's only 10! In the morning! I was writing something special for my report.

Well I probably wouldn't have finished it today. Swap with rex?

e: my got it was on May 07, 2008, 11:28 PM GMT

It is now 11AM GMT. What?

Inherited Turn
I let Hannibal research mysticsm so he can expand the borders of his cities. His cities are producing axemen and a spearman. The Diplomatic relations with Caesar, Washington, and Mansa are annoyed (with Hannibal) but the only modifier is +1. Stupid Humans.

Turn 1
I begin a meaningless mine to the west of Carthage. How utterly depressing. No builds ar eifnished. Humans are so unproductive...

Turn 2
Utica begins to marshall another settlement. Just what we need, more humans.

Turn 3
Carthage finishes a spearman and begins a chariot. Utica is 7 turns to a settler.

Turn 4
The beginings of a religious block! Mansa Musa, founder of Judaism becomes Hinndu, along with Sladin, the founder. Speaking of religion, Hannibal finishes Mysticism. Then, with my brain the size of a planet, I tell the stupid oaf to research writing.

Turn 5
The Great Wall was built by a pitiful human.

Turn 6
The most powerful nation, the Dutch, and founder of Buddhism asks for open borders. I think he looks like someone from the infamous planet Groozganoz, but I accept. More religion means humans are 'inspired', meaning I'm more protected from stupid oafs.

Turn 7
Nothing Happens, life is so boring...

Turn 8
Utica finishes it's settler, and Hadrumentum finishes a monument. Soon we'll have elephants.

Turn 9
I finished my mine, and move to north to begin a road to the stupid grey things. Along the way I saw a couple of super intelligent Dolphins, and we talk/sing about how annoying humanity is.

Turn 10
Hannibal is not moving the settler...
Stupid idiotic human...

Turn 11
Hannibal is moving his settler towards the two hills/copper/pigs/elephants area. He's still an idiot though.

Turn 12
Hannibal turns Buddhist! I decide to turn as well, as it iwll help. Hannibal it turns out, had a hidden settler somewhere, and settled Hippo somewhere along the lake near the elphants. Our settler and chariot I had mentioned previoulsy move south, toward the stupid tundra.

Turn 13
And he settles Kerkouane near silk. A barbarian city is being sieged by Arabic archers, which is near Hippo, and controls the Pigs, along with corn, cows, and wine. I want Hannibal to attack it. All in favour?

I decide to stop here, so we can deal with Hannibal's pitiful city spots and the brabarian city. Marvin is outside our borders building a road to the elephants, but will be back in our borers in 4 turns, when the border expands.

Hi there Quotey. Yes, the above quoted post was made at 10am GMT. However, it was made on May 10th at 10am. Not May 9th.

not an obsessive time-keeper.....

Oof, days? Pah. PAH.

Got it.

e: 2:19, 10 May.

You know, I think my computer clock has the wrong date.....

i thing you are right ... its Sun, May 11

Will need a few hours extension. I know this makes me look terrible.

Hey ... Its ... errr ... Eddie. Yeah - that's right. Its Eddie your shipboard computer. Sorry I haven't been around for a while ... someone decided to take me off-line and install the new Zaphod Beeblebrox GPP. Well, install complete and ...

WOW - like WOW man, I can see for miles with these new computer sensors. DId you know that the lady in F4 has a visitor ... and WOW ... did you know that it's the guy from down stairs ... wow, that is sooooo cool.

So, anyway, what is happening here? My records tell me that Eddie (errr ... me) use to be a time police dragon ... well, no more of that. Just let it hang, no pressure, no pressure. Take your time guys ... its not like the fate of the galaxy hangs on it.

JULY 4, YEAR 3.14

REUTERS-IBM- On Earth (a small, insignificant planet in the Milky Way galaxy), researchers on a night out made an amazing discovery. They found a DIARY of an ANDROID, first dating from the year Two Thousand, Nine Hundred and Eighty Nine Years Before Internation Business Machines Corp. We here have the exclusive and will bring you this weekly segment including EXCLUSIVE exceprts (the interesting bits) and EXCLUSIVE pictures, and EXCLUSIVES. STICK AROUND FOR EXCLUSIVES.

Fragment 1 (2989BIBM)

I see signs of an offensive stack in Kerkouane. Willy, Willy, your time is up. Please, take me instead, Hannibal. I just can't be bothered.

I also notice a problem. Now, while I hate Hannibal, I hate the Barbarians and their pointless existence even more. I will not go near that city, so I don't know the name, so I cannot direct Hannibal to attack it.

Fragment 4 (2889BIBM)

I finish the road to the Ivory as soon as people start coming in from the city. I am SO efficient and smart.

I ask the big guy's druids to start researching Alphabet. I would have taught them myself, but I don't want to interfere in their meaningless lives.

Fragment 10 (2739BIBM)

Mansa Musa takes that dumb Barbarian city. Well, nothing really changes. Dumb Mali.

Fragment 15 (2614BIBM)

Dear Diary. I have a brain the size of a planet. I haven't told myself that in a long time.
