Half a year ago, I bought 766MHz pentium, and to my surprise civ wasn't working right. It was very, very slow (ironic isn't it?), anyone encountered this problem and solved it?
(needless to say that I tried some of timer-slower programs out there)

thanx

Hi rouli.

Yes it sucks. Windows doesn't work together with Civ1. You have to restart in dos-mode, if you have Win98.

But yes, there's got to be another solution. Were talking about it here .

Just kidding.
Well, I always said you need to play it with Macintosh version. Even on a Mac emulator for PC (that's what I'm doing), it's better. Enhanced graphics, sounds, etc. Come on, try it, trust me.
