Satellite out of control

Wow, if we all have to keep shooting down sattilites in the future, there may not be any routes to get into space.

Anyway that is awefully hypocritical of China considering how long it took for them to admit their launch. I'd say they are defintately fishing for info. They've just been caught with spies here recently too. So no doubt they are.

How badarse is it to nail that thing with a missile? How fast does an ICBM travel?

Not only that, but they hit the precise tiney spot on it that they were aiming for. Pretty awesome. I won't lie, I can't help but feel a sense of national pride when I read about the success of this mission.

I heard last night that the missile did indeed hit the satellite but they'd have to monitor it more to see whether the hit was thorough enough to do the job.

Wont let me in, (funny enough) I'm not a registered reader

They have a free login and usually require it for things that aren't the top stories. Of course, no big deal to me since I've had the login for about seven years.

Gotta love this technology, gotta hate the arms race started...

The only thing about it is how much it cost to do so. I read last night that the missile alone cost $10,000,000. The total launch of the mission was said to have costs us somewhere aroun $30,000,000.

We have got to come up with better ways to pay for this stuff.
