Sounds like a good plan. Anything to snake Lib out from under Cav makes me smile!

That Immortal is dead next turn unless we help.

We can move NW NE and attack the barb Axe. We have 50% odds on it. But if we damage it, it will then bounce off the immortal.

So do we help saturn out?

This is the way i see it. We have to move to help them anyways. If the immortal dies our chariot is tied up looking after the settler. So it won't be exploring. If it does attack and win we get sentry. and then can heal and be on our way. If it loses, then saturn's immortal wins and they continue to expand at a half decent rate now.

I thought it was a fine thing. Either we got a promotion and saturn is safe, or we lost the unit and saturn was safe... and our economy is a little stronger (last I looked, we had significant unit support costs)

And, in any case, our relations with our allies is stronger.
 
what's the advantage of trading maps with them? is there one? I'd be ok with just giving them a screen shot of our territory and they do the same.

Plako told me in a chat they are going to lose Iapetus again. Which just got a population boom last turn.

Saturn needs a general like Memphus.

and yes it royally messes us up unless we got OB with Cav and Kaz.
 
We have Saturns map.

I'm looking at the game right now, and I'm not so pessimistic about our chances anymore. I think we can win this...
