Is it wise to clear most jungle tiles from the city radius, if you have lots of in jungle zone?

If I clear jungle, I guess there won't appear any rubber at later game. Is that correct?

So if I clear jungle from my zone, I have littler odds to discover rubber in my zone?

You are not correct, 777 (but that's good news!). Even if you clear jungle away, rubber/coal still will appear there. It even works with luxuries. Cut down the jungle from gems, and you have a 2 food, 4 commerce tile - very powerful. Cut down jungle, forests if you like (rubber will still appear, as will uranium), and if you have Conquests, marsh too.

Yes, since fish can appear in marsh, once that's cleared away you have the wierd-looking fish on grassland.

Wohoo! Thanks GA and DB. That sound pretty much a bug, well sort of So I can take them down, even I haven't yet discovered advance?
I knew that when they've appeared I can wipe 'em down. But I've never dared to do it before they appears.

I've allways saved those damned parts on earth, but now I can wipe them. Guess I lose happy faces from nature lovers

All resources are placed on the map at the beginning of the game, when the map is first created. It doesn't matter whether or not you've researched a tech, they're already in place.
