sc:01 Moddern war

Congrats to the team - a very wll played game.

We declared our first intercontinental war in 1851 on charlemagne, the entire world had been conquered by 1928. So, just 77 years to rule the planet.

Regarding our production, I just think it's all about city specialization. From the beginning of the game we focused on production in most of our cities. And we did it very well, as we were #1 in production ever since 155 BC.

Gold and food are nice, but hammers beat all.

We had an obscene amount of land for most of the game thanks to the early beat downs of Willem and Alex. That just proves that land is power.

Regarding the production, in complete agreement in Madtown here. We did a lot of city specialization, and we focused on production. It always outstripped the opponent by a lot, whereas our GNP was not as great considering our size. But the AI likes to spam cottages and such, so this is understandable. We had Rep powered specs and our religious portfolio powering us most of the way there.

Speaking of Religion, I learned a lot about that particular strat this game, and have a new appreciation for the trio of wonders that we built. I think Sistine also boosts religious buildings too, on top of our specs (or was I thinking of something different).

All in all, we completely mastered this game. Rollover with Modern Armour was just icing. A well played game by all, and it was a pleasure.

Thanks for a good game guys.

I think sc02 will be trying Obsolete's megacity strategy with loads of settled GPs and trying to grab all wonders. But, that will probably be a few weeks of....

I loled at the new patch that just came out. That would've fixed the broken SoZ and 15 unhappy people we got from declaring war on Hammy
