Really? Crap that games gotten far since I last played it. I should have bought it then when it was only like $7 but I didn't think it'd get as good and popular as it has.

I bought it when it was in version 0.6 something, its 1.011 now. I hadn't played it in a long while and decided to try it again. Its gotten a lot better and I'm finding it hard to put it away. I was with the Nords in a winning war against the Khergit Khanate when the Swadians declared war on us. First i got trapped in one of my castles by the entire Khergit army. Me and my 67 friends killed over 300 of them before we got overpowered. And while i was in captivity the Swadians took my other castle and suddenly i was without any fiefs and without an army. I almost quit the game but i managed to raise a new army and take back the castle the Swadians took from me. That was sweet sweet victory! Now I'm the marshal, but were at peace with everyone again now

France, for some reason, declared war upon Great Britain in 1898. The Entente consists of France and Russia.
I saw an opening as leader of the Central Powers (Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy) and invited Great Britain to the Central Powers. It was accepted. Commence the butt-kickin'.

Is that mod stable? I've been looking for a WW1 mod but the last one I did find I heard it sometimes crashed at certain events (true that was a while ago)

It is stable, but really only enjoyable as Germany and the United States. I assume Great Britain is fun too. It is severely lacking in the France/Russia/Italy part...

I managed to conquer Great Britain and Northern Ireland. I freed the Scottish. The British Empire is crumbling with Italy attacking from Africa and Japan invading India from the east. They only have 39 IC.
I have started the invasion of the USSR to aid my ally Japan. I constructed the Molotov-Ribbentrop Line (10 fortresses with 10 AA per province.) It managed to hold out the Russians until I could conquer (No longer Great) Britain. It will be a long, hard road to Moscow now. But well worth it.

I see you snuck in a few divisions to leningrad. Good job on that one, ive never managed to do it. So by the time I get to it, the place is a fortress and somehow, the finns seem to forget russia was their enemy and attack me, every damned time.

My first proper game of HoI2! Germany from 1936, normal difficulty and AI aggressiveness. I've made a few mistakes on the way, like leaving too few troops on the French border when war broke out, which allowed the French to get as far as Nuremburg. That is, until I swung west through Belgium and routed them.
Chose to split the Czech lands with Hungary which made them my ally, and Italy also joined the axis when France was practically knocked out. I chose not to create Vichy - the French need to learn that the era of giving up a few provinces and hoping for better luck next time is over ... Also Britain was almost entirely undefended and - at the cost of the entire German navy - it fell quickly, leaving only a plucky Australian defence in Stornoway.
In Africa things seem to be going well with an Italian amphibious invasion of Beirut isolating the British in Suez, and the lack of any French troops anywhere in the world making an Italian march to the west simply a matter of how fast can one cavalry, one HQ and one infantry traverse the French holdings.
The tripartite pact event triggered, and after much deliberation I sought to also include Japan in the axis but they refused! Oh well, hopefully they will attack the Americans and distract them ...
