Do the pickle dance. i got this one today when playing call of duty uo

normally yes, but this was near the end of the game so i had practiced :D

Bullet deviation in video games is of one the most absurd things ever made. Makes me want to go over to the dev studios and make them fire some real guns.

You experience bullet deviation when you take a shot that, in all right and reason ought to hit its target (let's say, a sniper shot at a target at rest), but doesn't, because part of the program says that x number of bullets will miss their targets. If the program says that 3 of 10 bullets will miss their targets, then it doesn't matter how good a shot you are, even if both the crosshairs and the target never move, three of those next ten shots will miss, guaranteed. It is positively the stupidest thing in the history of FPS.

ok then that is my problem with fps games for instance in call of duty 2, i get an excellent shot most of the time but that stupid thing makes me miss AT THE WORSE POSSIBLE TIME!

CoD2 dosnt have bullet deviation I think or at least not a noticeable one. It's more likely lag screws you over.

Some more pwnage

That's kinda stupid of them. Couldn't they just implement something more subtle ? Like - 1 in 50/100 shots will go slightly to the left/right/up/down of the target, so that there is still a chance you'll hit him.
Or they could just make bullet deviation for very long range to simulate the effect of the wind.

I think if they have to have some sort of difficultly in shooting folk, it should come from gun 'wobble' as you're aiming. At least then you can put it down to your own fault, and not because of some random generator that says your perfectly aimed shot missed.

they did that in the original metal gear solid with the sniper rifle, except when you use drugs then the shaking goes away.

So in games with bullet deviation, if theoreticaly 3/10 shots missed, and you only have 5 shots in a sniper rifle (say a scoped kar98k) then you have a high rate of missing even though it's a highly accurate weapon?
