this has got to be the most FUBAR'd diplomatic situation I have ever seen.

It all started when I cheated into a Nationalist Socialist govt stance: before, I had been building relations with both Germany and the SU: Germany was ~120 and SU was 199.

After I changed the gov and declared war on and annexed Bulgaria, SU relations took a hit to ~145, Germany was around 130.

Then out of the blue the SU DOWs me!

Immediately I think, "I'm clusterfu'd if I don't get some help" so I ask Germany for an alliance. Somehow, they accept...

Then, Romania joins us (not as an ally) in the war against the SU, and then Greece does too even though nobody likes Greece (-99) and then France declares war against Germany out of the blue as well, and then Yugoslavia joins the war against UK/France... not sure abuot SU...

Fascist Spain also got involved somehow... Jeeeeeez this is going to be epic.

I also forgot about Poland, apparently we are also at war with them.

I'm trying, but Italy starts out with -99 at way too many people... so far I've talked them into the -50 or so range...

One Month Later:

Turkey has taken heavy losses in the East against a combined Franco-Russian assault. We've assumed (partial ) military control over Greece and are directing ~5 divisions to Ankara; six more Turkish divisions are incoming from Bulgaria and Western Turkey

Portugal and Italy joined the alliance; Yugoslavia backed out.

Nationalist Spain looked to be a promising ally after they advanced up to Bordeaux and Toulouse, but their armies were encircled and destroyed and they are now losing ground.

Romania, Hungary and Germany made a brilliant joint-encirclement of nearly half the Polish army, ~20 divisions, which was four provinces large and now the noose is tightening.

Italy is gaining ground in Egypt but losing its European provinces to France

Portugal and Italy joined the alliance; Yugoslavia backed out.

It also certainly happens with Yugoslavia joins the Axis, doesn't it?

yes, started in Suez and went up to Jerusalem, where our supplies were cut off by the Brit division in Haifa; we then took Haifa and stole their supplies

The Germans have ~5 divisions at work south of the original Turkish borders, and have been making most of the land-grabs.

Fighting against some pirates in my latest British game, I felt horribly for them... and I kinda wish I could play as them

Its even worse with the natives... and native cavalry.

EDIT:

Played a couple of battles with Captain2.

He tried to use a lot of Elite units in this one, didn't work.

My attempt to flank him with artillery almost worked, but I failed to get my line infantry into the right position to form squares.

Captain2 concedes defeat!

Next he tried to use a lot of artillery for the light show, those organ guns are deadly but the map is HORRIBLE!

Sigh, I guess I'll have to march all the way down this mountain.

And his weak militia flea like the cowards they are!

And again they flee!

We will fight in the shade!

3rd level of the adamantine tower roof. Eventually all of the internal wood floors will be gone.

Nearly complete 3rd level. There will be a platform in the middle, but no access to the walls.

Eventually this will all be built up and hopefully look awesome. Wooden Fort with Adamantine gilding!

Yes, I did change reactions to give me adamantine and wood. Im doint this to make something pretty, which is already hard enough on a 2x2 map.
