Seasons Feature?

I doubt it. Most likely it's just a different texture set or whatever they're calling it when different parts of the map can have terrain that looks different.

Plus, it would probably say on the interface if it was a particular season. All I can see is the date and turn number.

Perhaps trees change over "seasons", but it is only like running water in rivers, and waves lapping against the shore, meaning it looks cool but has no effect on the game. However I suspect PoM is correct, and it's just a different texture to spice things up, but doesn't change.

Well, turn length can probably be changed to seasons and even smaller increments of time, as it could be supported previously, so perhaps it can be so.
However, it doesn't make much sense that the entire world is in the same season at one point. If this is taken in mind, then at the very least it would not say only Spring 1445 AD or whatever for all civs, but perhaps the month or the season that particular civ would be in.

Or like in SimCity4, where you have the Day & Night cycle that can be turned on or off. That'd be pretty cool for CiV actually. Switch the globe to "night view" and see all the lights, something like this...
