Secrets of the Pharaoh

The gods had come to Ramesses after they had made their decision at the SC. They had decided they wanted to train troops so that they could go to Carthage's old capital city, and if possible, their other city as well. Tales had been told to Ramesses that the city was well protected, so Ramesses trained macemen and musketmen in his most productive cities so he need not worry about taking the city.

Thebes was the largest production center in all of the Kingdom of Egypt, so he trained musketmen there, and he trained macemen in Aksum and Alexandria, where the production was good, but not as good as Thebes.

Darius I, leader of Persia, came to Ramesses to see if he wished to join their crusade against the Arabians. Ramesses, being told by the gods to stay neutral in the war, refused Darius, and continued training troops to take the independent Carthaginian cities.

Ramesses only feared that Arabia would declare war on Egypt himself, but Ramesses didn't worry too much, as Turkey and Persia were tearing Arabia paper-thin.

Yet again I'm having troubles with crashing. I'll try my best to do this again. Give me some time for the second half of the update

Elizabeth, queen of England, then came to Egypt offering the knowledge of the Printing Press for the knowledge of Philosophy and a small sum of gold. Ramesses accepted this deal, and then entered a new era which would be called the Renaissance.

Quite soon after, news was given to Ramesses that even Russia had declared war on Arabia now. This, presumed Ramesses, would most likely be the end of Arabia (and a crash after I type this paragraph).

As Ramesses traded world maps with Egypt, Ramesses noticed some land to the southwest and northwest of Africa. Ramesses wondered if this land would be small and insignificant, or large and bustling with other people. Ramesses put it off his mind, however, as he could not build ships to build cities or explore these lands just yet.

As Egyptian troops got closer and closer to Carthage, it appeared the city was not as protected as Ramesses thought it would be. Ramesses breathed a sigh of relief, and sent his troops over there. He sent maceman and musketmen, and he knew he would capture the city.

Also, it appeared Egypt was no longer on top of the world, and that England and France had outranked him. Ramesses was discouraged because of this, but he knew he couldn't be best throughout the whole entirety of earth, so he dealt with it. He was at least the 3rd, so he was happy at least.

And after that, Egyptian scientists had gotten wind from Arabian scientists that their ships had proven the Earth was round. This was a pretty large discovery for the time, and made Egyptian scientists and people question what they really knew. They prayed to their gods for prosperity in search for knowledge.

SC Decision!

Spoiler :
We for sure have Carthage, and with tales of a new land and our loss of the greatest civilization, what now?

1) After capturing Carthage, train more troops to send to Hippo, Carthage's other city to take it, and then see if we can trade techs with other civs
2) After capturing Carthage, ignore Hippo, and start building more workers to better work the land around us by building things like mines and roads
3) After capturing Carthage, declare war on Arabia, as they were just about dead anyway, for a diplomatic boost with Russia, Turkey, and Persia
4) After capturing Carthage, gift it to Spain for a large diplomatic boost, and see if we can trade techs with the European civs so we can start catching up again
5) After capturing Carthage, train more troops and send them south to capture a native village, and then start focusing on infrastructure and techs

Voting will end in 47 hours

I'd say Option 1 and then Option 2 immediately after.

Option 1

Option 5

I say we make Egypt the protector of North Africa. We consolidate power from Sinai around to the Ivory Coast at Mali across the Sahara to Ethiopia. We should either conquer or vassal Mali.

What do you guys think?? :D

I would support that but a similar vote for that already failed.

That's why I said North Africa. It's easier because the coast like Morocco isn't wanted as much.

We have already vassaled Mali.

Also, we can have long term goals. I'm just making this for the fun of it and to make a great empire that everyone likes to participate in. I don't care if we win or not.

Its just better when there's a goal to focus on. I would have liked an option which would let Egypt tech up for the next hundred years, surpass Netherlands militarily and then we move to eject them from the colonies. Maybe even invade Europe to 'teach them a lesson' :D

Just to bring attention to it for people who don't visit the group much, I have a question in the Off-topic thread in the group forum.
