Secrets of the Pharaoh

Nonono. Remember the quote from Civ5 when you research Hunting. If you try to catch two rabbits, you will lose both and deserve neither.

How about this then:

We postpone the update for tomorrow morning like I did with Maya for a vote!

Spoiler :
Choice 1) Whip galleon, train settler, worker, and musketeer to settle in Australia
Choice 5) Train more troops to capture a native village to the south, and DoW the Dutch and take their African colonies

Voting will end at 10 am EST tomorrow

Option 5

Nonono. Remember the quote from Civ5 when you research Hunting. If you try to catch two rabbits, you will lose both and deserve neither.

You mixed together the hunting and liberalism

"If you chase two rabbits, you will lose them both." - Native American Saying

“Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.”
- Benjamin Franklin

I stay with Option 1

Question- Was there a regular who didn't vote last time? If there wasn't, then this will likely end the same as last time.

A lot of people haven't been voting, but Spirictum voted for option 2 so he might end up being the deciding factor if he chooses to vote.

As it happened to be, Egypt was the first to discover Liberalism, and with the knowledge of Liberalism, the scientists felt they could discover something new in record time. Ramesses asked them to see if they could learn about a Scientific Method in this record time they said they could do, and so they did. The knowledge of these two technologies caused Egypt to rise quite high, and surpass France on the nation ladder.

Shortly after, Ramesses whipped a galleon in Mombasa, but for some reason the economy wasn't doing so hot, so he had to lower it to 50%

Then something happened that no one saw coming: Alexander, our best buddy, declared war on us. Alexander and Ramesses were buddies since Greece had formed, but it appeared Greece was done with us. Ramesses didn't know what to do; Turkey wouldn't open their borders, and that was their only way of getting to Greece.

Also, France must have done something monumental, as they had surpassed Egypt again in the nation ladder. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted, I guess.

The Apostolic Palace then invited Ramesses to a decision for ending the war against Greece. Ramesses didn't think the war really had a point, so he voted yes to end it. As the results were tallied, Ramesses discovered that everyone voted in favor in ending the war, even the Greeks themselves! Ramesses scratched his head at this, but he didn't care.

The galleon and its units on board were also on their way to Australia, in order to settle Egypt's first colony.

Spoiler :

As the settlers had founded the city of Imu in southwestern Australia, he looked at his treasury and gulped. Egypt was losing money and fast, so he ordered his scientists to work only with 30% funding in order to keep the economy stable. Ramesses hated to do this, as he had recently lowered it already, but there was nothing he could do.

The colony was already founded, and all he could do was sit back and cry as Persia had barely surpassed them on the nation ladder.

Spoiler :

As the workers just started to work the land around Imu, Ramesses was greeted by strange people from the land to the west that Ramesses had seen France settle on. These people called themselves the Maya, and followed the teaching of Islam. Of course, because they were not Christian, they did not like Ramesses, so they would not open borders, or trade their world map.

The economy was also starting to raise enough for Ramesses to raise the science budget back to 40%. Egypt was still gaining money, and Ramesses hoped that Egypt could be able to eventually get back up to 60%, but if they didn't he felt he could survive nonetheless.

SC Decision!

Spoiler :
We founded our first colony, and survived the shortest war known to mankind! What now?

1) Use our galleon waiting in Australia for orders to explore the new land to the west, and scout out the land that France colonized and what Maya lives in. Then focus on science, economy, and our infrastructure until at least 1700
2) Ignore Maya and the land to the west, and bring a scout from Egypt over to Australia so we can scout out the land that we settled on
3) Gather all of our scattered troops through Africa, and maybe train a few more, and then take Turkish cities until we at least have a path to Greece, in case they declare war on us again.

Voting will end in 48 hours.

I decided to switch around the days. Today is Egypt, tomorrow is Maya, etc.

Abstain

I wanted to expand in Africa because Australia is so far away that it would drive up our maintenance and instability. Also, I have never believed in war with Arabia or Turkey. Believe me, I'm not abstaining because I'm mad or something. I just want expansion through Africa at the moment.

Believe me, we will expand into Africa later, I just at least wanted a foothold in another continent before some country from Europe took it over.
