Sequel to FF7

Has anyone here heard about it? If you haven't, well for starters the sequel to FF7 is not a game. Its a DVD movie.

Well, I for one won't see it. Square's a game company, FF a game franchise, and we've seen what happens when the game/movie line is crossed... (see: Super Mario Brothers, etc. YUK!)

Yeah, I think I'd prefer a game sequel, not a movie, but I'll still rent it to see what its like.

Except that each Final Fantasy is not a sequel to the previous one. Rather, each game is a different story in an ongoing anthology.

Thanks for avoiding that temptaion. Flameouts are what OT is for.

Any predictions on how well it will do? My guess is decently, since there are enough FF fans to carry it, but still not evough to make it a blockbuster. Not releasing it in theaters first doesn't help.

I'd agree with you on the prediction, although I'd say not realeasing it in theaters doesn't make much of a difference.

FF6 and FF5 are better then both of those, I like FF7 more then FF5 though, and FF7 is tons and tons better then FF8. And FF9 is better then FF8 too
FFX is quite fun too, but it's not nearly a favourite.
