Session expiration!

Argh what's with the session expiraring? I choose to keep myself auto log in for easy purposes but if I don't enter in my Username and password that day I go into the forum and try to vote in a poll, it won't let me! Argh it gets on my nerves and I don't participate in polls anymore even though I really want to...

Yeah, this has happened to a few posters... Soon we will upgrade to VB 3.0 and that wil(hopefully) fix our problems. I was fixed after being deactivated and reactivated though.

I seem to get a "session reset" anytime I use the back button (which I now avoid doing) or click on a link in a post that opens in a new window. Some of the navigation links also seem suspect.

I started a thread like this too... Upgrading wont do much.. it depends on how long TF has it set to in the admin panel.

I also noticed that my cookies "reset" any time I participate in a poll. What's up with that?

Now that hasnt happened to me yet but that is a bug if Ive ever seen one.

Reset as in you logging out? That would be odd, freaky, and would drive me out of participating in any polls.

No, reset as in marking everything "read" across all forums. It also happens if I click on any link which pops up a new window (like viewing SOTD), and also when clicking on a link to go to a numbered page (when there are mutiple pages in a thread). It also happens when I simply reply to a post.

Very annoying. Another BBS I frequent uses 2.2.7 and this doesn't happen, so it must be a flaw in 2.2.6. Also doesn't happen at Apolyton, and I think they are using a higher version also.

So you're saying that this version of the forum must be updated? It would do good to fix a few lil' bugs.
